Every member feels like a real teenager with lived-in struggles:Qin Ao (Zhu Boyan): Completely steals the spotlight. In the novel, Qin Ao and Fu Xinshu are much closer, a dynamic that felt amiss in the live-action. The writers should have kept them as the major focus. Instead, the final stretch shifted to Fu Xinshu and Wen Chengye. Because Wen Chengye’s arc already felt a little pushed and forced mid-season, this final focus felt completely unnecessary and disrupted the momentum.
