Yeah I don't think it was handled in the right way. I think the drama Had I not seen the sun handled it better…
In the end I ended up liking how they executed it. I realized it was always how she interpreted her mother so of course from the daughters perspective the mom wouldn't want her to be with the man she loves.
First K Drama I've watched in a while and it was great the only thing I didn't think was needed was the relationship between FL manager and the producer. I would've liked it if they spent that time with ML brother and producer lady maybe culminating with him maturing and realizing he loves her.
fr, since the first few episodes we knew that trope was coming up 😭
Yeah and another trope is the side couple married couple breaking up. I knew it as soon as I saw her bff first interaction with ML bff. I thought her husband was a good guy just a workaholic.
This has introduced a trope I hate. I want the ML to actually put romance to the side and actually focus on revenge or go into the relationship and still do your revenge not the whole I can't get into a relationship because it'll interfere with my revenge but then change there mind half an episode later. We all know he is gonna find out what happened to her dad and they're gonna breakup and reconcile later because he feels guilty or they both feel guilty 😮💨
Small nitpick. This VR stuff could've been done better imo. How can you recognize the person in the real world if everyone is wearing those big ass vr goggles 🤣🤣🤣
Love love this show but this might} not be a popular opinion - Lu yu xiao is such a good actress I hope for her…
She was amazing in My Journey to You. I thought she played the ruthless and manipulative assassin role well, although she had a romantic love line her character was great
Good show but God the double standards in this were crazy. This show has some of the most conniving and manipulative women but they brush it off as them being empowered or having no choice but the men are treated as scumbags for doing the same things🤣 It's like they had to make LJ dad seem worse than the grandmother. The sister in law helped kill ML and obviously attempted to kill ML while getting rid of the other concubines and got away with it and FL is like since you didn't directly do it I'm not blaming you. She literally told you she stole the baby girl after her kid died.... This whole last chapter really had a negative impact on how I feel about the show and FL.
