Title The Road to Splendor Spoiler
Ep32, yanke. She surprised me. She had most character growth. If a mother swallow all her grievances, her children…
i agree, the depth of the dialog needs to be studied, it really show how her change was because she accepted her real self, and she no longer cared about what others thought, cause the hardest limit to cross the the one you create. And also I have to say that even the time of her change is perfect, as it shows how much she matured as she grew up, people usually start having similar feelings as they reach this age.

what a fine gem. Started this drama withe zero expectations, surprisingly it turned to be one of the best dramas i've watched for this year.

what makes it good is how the story is told in a way where you are following the leads in their journey, on every step you root for them, and when a trap is set you feel worried for what might happen, you know something is going to happen, yet you don't know how things are going to unfold. another thing with makes the story good, is the politics that are discussed are easy to follow, the values and struggles that where highlighted are relatable, even the characters are built with so much complexity that you get attached to them and feel their sadness, it also shows you how people are not just good or bad, but they can be either depending on the situation, which in the end just shows you the real core and nature of humans.

i feel like i can keep rambling about how the drama really left a deep impression on me, but not sure if everyone that watches it would understand is value and its hidden messages, but i would still say that its worth the watch, wither its for the actors, the romance, or just to waste some time, because i believe that you might value something other than me.

i loved this lakron, really enjoyed it, but the last 2 eps were a bit awkward for me, the romance felt a bit forced (it might be because of the fast pacing) so i hoped for more eps to give time for things to settle and build up the new romance as adults and most importantly as parents, because it really lacked this feeling, how they are familiar yet still learning new things about each other and getting used to it, cause lets not forget they didn't date for 12/13 years.

7.5/10

Title Take a Hike!
what woman voice...? if you mean that minute long scene, weird how that triggers you...
mostly it appears in the biggening but sometimes it talkes over the others, which can be annoying because it affects the volume making it lower, also it seems like she just reads the written captions.... and it makes me confused

I get it, I also feel like the flashbacks are nearing an end, because they just need to show us how the dad died and why they broke up, so lets hope they do it well.

i love every thing that you said, like why would you sleep with the girl???????especially after telling the dad…
i totally forgot about the age gap, and I can skip this part cause i think the gap is not that big, but when she told him it's wrong to do it he should've stopped or at least gave it a second thought, like the girl was hesitant, you should consider her feelings man!

I also can't wait for the story, and I would like to see how is he going to redeem himself

So 4 episode left and am I the only one who feels the chemistry is not quite their and the scene time with the…
personally, I am enjoying this because it feels fresh, I get that there are many side characters but I feel like their roles are clear, and each is contributing to the story in a good way, also the flashbacks are my favorite as it keeps showing you how different and vibrant they used to be (plus its sweet). Now that I finished the 6th ep, watched the teaser for the next ep, and read some comments, things seems to unfold in an unexpected way, which is very exciting

i love every thing that you said, like why would you sleep with the girl???????
especially after telling the dad that he could trust him!!! i loved their story and how it felt "respectful" but now I am disappointed at yai behavior.

as for the theories on how the story might become, you blew my mind because they make perfect sense, and it will make the plot juicier than it is

Im at ep 4, and i have to say the way suam is try to pay back that gratitude is not it, it is doing more harm to her and to p'aik, so i don't get why she has to follow and do what he wants when its only making her life more miserable, like you can pay him back once you graduate and make enough money, or help him in some situations.

I enjoyed this drama 7.5/10, personally I have stopped watching Kdramas for some time, as I find most of them have the same vibe, specialy when they include the misunderstang part, which just makes me want to drop the drama. In this drama I enjoyed the story and I really loved the ending, the plot twist (which was predictable at some point) added a very nice tone to the story, it made me appreciate the characters a bit more and feel for them.

Now I would say that there are some things that could've been better, but this is how the director and writers wanted the story to be told, and you need some dramas with flaw to really appreciate the flawless ones.

In ep 3, when the girl ties herself and enters the world of gwi, are we given an explanation as to why she can…
I just watched an interview where they discussed this, and as mentioned she is a shamanic descendent which allowed her to travel, go cheon is also of shamanic descendent.

this is the link of the interview, they have mentioned some other points which might answer any confusion

This is how you make a supernatural series…highly skilled acting, high quality CGI, captivating script and only…
tbh cdramas has their own charm, this one was more realistic, but cdramas lean more toward fantasy

Title The East Palace Spoiler
In ep 3, when the girl ties herself and enters the world of gwi, are we given an explanation as to why she can…
i read the comments on this thread, and personally it felt like he goes through some stuff like a ritual to actually enter the gwi world ( example: cutting his hand), and so when she wanted to enter she did what he did. Now, can everyone enter if they did the same? i dont think so, maybe because you first need to posses some spiritual ability to fit the criteria and then you need this ritual to enter.

(maybe he discovered this trick after he drowned, but some parts do raise a lot of questions)

Just finished this, and it was genuinely a great watch!

At first, I was a bit disappointed because I hadn't fully connected with the characters yet, making some early scenes feel a little pointless. I was actually leaning toward giving it a 7/10. But then, the upcoming episodes delivered exactly what I was hoping for. That shift made me appreciate the drama so much more—it proved that the writer and director knew precisely what they were doing and guided the audience through the exact emotional arc we needed to feel.

I ended up giving it a 9/10. The only drawbacks were that the fight choreography needed a bit more work, and the final scene was a little too predictable, which took away from its emotional impact. Overall, though, this was a fantastic addition to my watchlist!

Is Zhang Linghe wearing a wig or something? Why does his hairline look so weird like that?
yeah i also thought so, but it might be because of the lighting

Title Overdo
This is very disappointing. I just finished episode 2, and here are my thoughts:

Why is the intro AI? I'm not entirely against it since we all skip through intros anyway, but for a drama like this, I didn't expect it. What's more shocking is that they actually used AI in some scenes throughout the episode, and it completely threw me off.

What is up with the filming and directing? The scene transitions are bad, and the extensive use of slow-motion makes it feel like they are trying way too hard to make every single moment look "epic."

The lighting is terrible. The night scenes are way too bright, and the morning scenes are even brighter. There is zero feeling of the historical time period—it honestly looks brighter than some modern dramas. The show is supposed to feel dark, but instead, the lighting just makes it look cheap.

The dubbing is overdone. I feel like they could have used the live audio for some of the indoor studio scenes to make the dialogue sound smoother and more natural.

A positive note: I did enjoy the part where Murong Qingyi was negotiating with the Hou guy.
