Fun Fantasy
I have to admit that this was a unique series. It is just so much fun to watch and (surprise) it has ghosts in it. But these ghosts are corporal! And that makes this series rich and fun to watch. There is a certain sadness about the stories of the 'ghosts' and how they became ghosts. Part of this series is redemption. And love. What brought this series down is the poor production. The acting for the most part is pretty good and believable and their are some very sincere exchanges between a number of couples that I found surprisingly well written. For entertainment, this is a fun series to watch. You can read my full review of this series at BLBliss.com.Was this review helpful to you?
Never Reaches Its Potential
This is a somewhat frustrating and disappointing BL series. It never quite gets to where I thought it should have gone. Instead, it gets bogged down in minutiae and never really tackles the real issues related to this series. The premise is a good one but it is just executed poorly. It ends abruptly and rather stupidly. I am guessing there were going to be more seasons but it looks like there will not be. Perhaps with more stories this could have evolved into a better series. I just never bought that these two guys were in love with each other. Sure, they acted 'gay' but the believability factor for me was missing. Too bad. It all felt too rushed for me.Was this review helpful to you?
An Unpretentious Gem
While not as quirky as the first one, this series is so adorable filled with characters that I would WANT to know and hang out with. The story is a bit contrived and not as organic as the first Season, but in terms of sheer charm and enjoyment, it is just so entertaining. I loved the country charm and feel to it and surprisingly I even liked the music. (Generally, I find actors singing in these series annoying and awful but in this case, they were pretty good). I liked this series a lot! For my full review of this quiet little gem go to BLBliss.com.Was this review helpful to you?
Phenomenal and One of the Best for 2021
Simply put, this is a phenomenally good BL series that shows interdimensional love and made it look real, genuine, and beautiful. It is an outstandingly simple story but with a complexity in terms of delivering its message in such a moving and human way. I loved it and the ending is one of the most endearing and heartfelt and moving endings of any BL series I have ever seen. It is near perfection. If it were not for technical and production issues, it would be a masterpiece. For my full review, go to BLBliss.com.Was this review helpful to you?
Just Awful
I wish I did not have to say that this series is that bad but it really is. Mainly due to the production. It was just bad. It was amateurish and it sounded as if it was recorded in a kitchen with a bunch of children playing in the background. This story was surprisingly interesting as it morphed from Greek mythology to Thai culture. It could have been a very interesting premise but it fell flat with the acting only mediocre at best. That had to be because of poor direction and in incoherent screenplay. I felt really bad for the actors and actress. They needed more direction and coaching. It did have a main character who was gay and not afraid or ashamed to say that. It also had a strong female lead and she was quite good. The actors are all so adorable and cute but wasted because they had no sense as to where this series was going or how to get there.

A Mess
This series is so incredibly formulaic and predictable that it left nothing to the imagination. While they are incredibly handsome individuals and the acting is NOT the problem, it is the utterly silly premise that has been done over and over again. Each episode was over one hour so they had time to develop a solid story with interesting characters but instead chose the formulaic storytelling that in essence went nowhere. The stories between the minor couples are way more interesting especially between Tong and Pok.Was this review helpful to you?
Tried too hard
I cannot say there is bad acting but without a coherent story line or sense of direction and some sight to a logical conclusion, this series became a hot mess. I wanted to care for them, and they did their best to try to keep the story’s cohesiveness. Unfortunately, this story while helping us understand a different reality of Bank and Golf from the movie, missed. They overlapped way too often and too much the past lives of Bank and Golf with the present which got incredibly confusing and distracting. Rather than being a focused story about their love and relationship it became a treatise on a whole lot of issues with nothing ever being resolved. There are way too many characters and relationships that were not connected or moved the story along. Was this review helpful to you?
A Simple Continuation
Look, this is also not some in depth analytical love story. It is a plain, ordinary, run-of-the mill story about two guys who by happenstance meet and a connection is made. That is all. This is one time where I appreciated that nothing more than intense stares and some nice kissing was the norm rather than some passionate lovemaking or some crazy painful twist to thwart the story. It is a continuation of The Moment and it is really a nice follow-up. If you want something cute, this is definitely it.Was this review helpful to you?
Yawn. Snooze. Boring
This is a slow walk to Nowheresville. All these guys are so adorable, handsome, and incredibly attractive. And, for the most part, can act, if given half the chance. Yes, this is a very short series that in my opinion was a pre-cursor to things to come in LOVE BY CHANCE (which I disliked for the most part). Briefly, this story is about 3 couples who misunderstand and misinterpret what at least one of the partners in each relationship is doing. One of the actors in thiw series is Tanapon Sukhumpatanasan (Perth). I shall admit upfront that I am biased and smitten by Perth. He can act, although he is not given much in this short series to work with. There is something about his presence on screen that just suspends me into believing him. What makes him so authentic for me is that I can see the commitment and passion in his eyes when he gets into the role, no matter how small or insignificant it is. This is a basic throw-away series that simply goes nowhere. Unfortunately, because you do have some good actors here but they are never given the opportunity to show their skills or their craft. Give them something with intensity and I think they would all shine. Was this review helpful to you?
Deliciously Wicked and Funny
I liked this series. It is very short consisting of 10 episodes averaging 12 to 13 minutes each. It is a very simple story of a very overbearing, angry, no fun to be around father of a wealthy family with 3 sons from 3 different women. Each not liking one other and certainly not trusting each other. Overall, this series is a story of love and brotherhood. These three siblings are almost to the point of being just like their unhappy bitter Dad, driven only by work. And maybe that is what I liked about this story. Sure, it is simple, and it is told simply. Three brothers begin to diminish the walls around them and begin to see that they are lovable and can be loved. Storytelling at its Finest
What a story! This is SO good! It is a short (4 episode) series. It is like watching a movie that was simply broken into 4 parts. This is storytelling at its finest. It involves basically two characters with several supporting roles. To say that they are handsome would not do them justice. There is such chemistry between these two that is instantaneous. There is not a lot of back story and frankly none is needed. You only CARE about them. This is one of the finest acted BL series I have watched so far. It is intense with the last scenes so powerful that I honestly had to stop watching so I could compose myself. The story is imaginative, creative, quirky, sad, beautiful, and fulfilling. A Secret Pleasure!
Formulaic, superficial, and unfocused (well, sort of). But sshh, I liked it - a lot! This BL series is an obvious low-budget, cookie-cutter story with stereotypical characters, and so-so acting. But what was great about this story is that it is NOT in a university, or filled with rich people or fancy cars, and everybody seemed to be cut from the same human cloth. It is in a rural area with a dialect I am not familiar with (or did not sound like your typical series from Thailand). Look, this is not a deep series. The acting is not first rate, but it is not bad. They seem wooden and stilted at times, but they are playing their parts with purpose and comfort. They are all so incredibly good looking, handsome, and beautiful. There is no lack of good looks here. This was quite a relatable story to everyday people who live down here rather than in sheltered environments like universities or surrounded by wealth. Kudos. Almost a Masterpiece
This series came the closet of any series I have watched (since “Until We Meet Again” to becoming a masterpiece. It is a brilliant and superb work of beautiful art that will be remembered. It is a profoundly moving and deeply spiritual series that is one of the best if not the best acted BL series. The ending just let me down in so many, many ways. So, it never quite reaches the mountain top. They just did not believe that they had an amazing story and instead went to tug at heartstrings and missed it completely. This is a story of love. Actually, two love stories where nothing else really matters. Both are deep, intense, and forever. You know that; you sense that; you feel that. One love is destined for tragedy and the other is destined to transcend time itself in its simple beauty and intensity. No matter how you look at this series, it will be one that no doubt will deeply and profoundly affect you. It is impossible not to feel. The acting in this series is nothing short of superlative. All four have shown great depth to their characters and took us on a journey through their characters’ developments. The major flaw in this series is that it did not bring the audience on the journey even if that journey is painful. Complex, Twisted, and Brilliant
In its entirety, this is one of the finest BL series out there. It is so incredibly moving, complex, and filled with life’s accomplishments and utter failures. We see Jun in a totally new light from before. A person who has grown emotionally, psychologically, and is now secure in the knowledge of who he is and more importantly what he is. I think he will make it even though he lives is a society where such behaviors are still intolerable and repressed and thought to be an aberration. The final scene, as he introduces himself to his classmates, starts to perhaps reveal something of himself but fades to silence. You may interpret that as you wish but it left me in tears. We do not know but I am hoping it is the opening of a new beginning. If you want to see my full review of this amazing BL series, read it at ppbongi.medium.com. IWas this review helpful to you?
One of the Best!
Cute, charming, and sensual. If I wrote 10 pages of accolades for this series, it would frankly not be enough. This is a beautiful and stunning, heartfelt, and warm BL series. It was a joy to watch and was a soft easy series to absorb with tremendously good acting. This is one of the finest acted BL series out there and one of the best dealing with the current pandemic. I have not seen anything of this romantic caliber since 2GETHER. These guys are simply beautiful together and have a magic together. Their chemistry as a couple is almost overwhelming. These two guys MAKES this series in a non-assuming way where they slowly draw you into their relationship. . It is extremely rare for a series to display such a deep connection between two people in a very short period of time. A simple basic love story where it is focused on success, not failure. I absolutely loved this series. I shall post my full review of this beautiful series on my blog site shortly so please review that there, if inclined. It will be at ppbongi.medium.com.Was this review helpful to you?
