I'm actually quite miffed about today's episode. Yi Chen will always choose his family over Lu Feng and Lu Feng…
I totally agree with you. I’m sorry, but this relationship can’t work. And not just because Lu Feng needs therapy, but because Yi Chen doesn’t love him and will never choose him over his brother.

They should move on and find someone else, or just stay single for the rest of their lives, because this ain’t it.

The hold Yi Chen’s brother has on him needs to be studied because how did this man look out the window, literally imagine Lu Feng standing there, and then basically go “okay” when his brother asked him to leave the country with him?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN “OKAY”??? 😭

"im not actually into men at all,i only like you" i thought we are past this trope, ,enough of this bs…
That pissed the shit out of me.
Lu Feng IS GAY and it’s quite insulting to make him say out loud that he doesn’t like men.

Title Double Helix Spoiler
First of all, the rabbit shaped apple slices were absolutely adorable and, quite frankly, the highlight of the entire episode.

Now that we’ve established that, WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS EPISODE??? LIKE WHAT. THE. FUCK?!?!

It was so heavy and painful. Every hospital scene had me crying in a corner and I’m honestly glad the revenge arc got resolved this quickly because Lu Feng was losing his mind way more than necessary and I was starting to worry about everyone’s collective sanity.

Also, Zhuo Lan casually walking around with a gun remains one of the funniest recurring details in this show 💀

That said, there was one thing I didn’t really like. When Lu Feng kept saying things along the lines of “I don’t even like men, I only want you.” Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really see the necessity to have him saying that he doesn’t like men. The wording felt a little odd to me.

On the bright side, I’m actually happy Yi Chen hasn’t forgiven him yet. As much as I love Lu Feng, that man deserves to suffer for a while. Shulang taught us an important lesson: if you want loyal devotion, make them crawl at your feet first. Fang Xiao learned it. Lu Feng should learn it as well.

And speaking of things I don’t like… THE BROTHER.

He shows up like, “Actually, it was all a misunderstanding. I provoked Lu Feng. I fell down the stairs by accident. Mom would’ve found out about me and Qi Lang anyway. I don’t blame Lu Feng for outing me. By the way, come abroad with us.”

THE FUCK?!

I didn’t miss him and I didn’t want to see him again 🙄🙄🙄

And maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but Yi Chen choosing his brother over Lu Feng yet again is starting to get old. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he should forgive Lu Feng immediately. Lu Feng absolutely deserves to suffer after everything he did. But we’re at a point where Yi Chen keeps putting everyone else before him, and I’m honestly no longer sure he loves him as much as we’re supposed to believe he does.

At this point, I can almost understand why Lu Feng felt like he was alone in that relationship.

And finally, THAT ENDING.

Now I’m supposed to wait an entire week wondering whether Yi Chen is leaving with his brother, staying behind, getting back together with Lu Feng, or choosing violence and making all of us suffer?

This show is stressing the shit out of me more than it should.

I haven't watched this yet, and I still have so many questions, so please, if someone knows the answers to my…
Honestly, your questions make perfect sense if you haven’t watched it yet.

But yes, there are actually two Yi Chens. They’re brothers (not twins), their names are pronounced differently, and they each have their own storyline and their own ship.

Lu Feng + older Yi Chen are the main couple, while younger Yi Chen + Qin Lang are the secondary couple.

And yes, the story jumps through different periods of their lives, which is why the hairstyles and outfits change so much.

Don’t worry too much if you’re confused right now, everything becomes much easier to follow once you start watching 😂

Using that logic, Zac Efron playing Ted Bundy should have made everyone defend a serial killer. But that’s not…
I would’ve escaped to Antarctica before getting involved with someone like Lu Feng in real life 😭

If toxic dark romance makes yall sick, why yall still watching this series? Are yall hate watching? That seems…
At this point it feels like some people would rather keep watching something they clearly dislike just so they can leave moral lectures in the comments than simply move on and watch something they actually enjoy.

Guys, you can criticize Lu Feng without throwing shade at the people who enjoy discussing his character.

Nobody is asking you to like Lu Feng. Nobody is asking you to defend him. But the constant need to psychoanalyze, judge, and insult people who likes a fictional character is getting old.

Some of you seem far more interested in feeling morally superior than actually talking about the story.
We get it: you don’t like Lu Feng. That’s fine. Nobody cares if you like him or not. We’re not his defense lawyer. We’re not getting paid to defend him. You can hate every single bones in his body and we won’t give a single fuck.
But acting as though everyone who finds him interesting is somehow “problematic” is just becoming exhausting.

It’s a drama.
We’re discussing a character, not applying for sainthood 💀

I just want to ask to everyone who is supporting Lu Feng, what if Lu Feng was ugly and it was portrayed by ugly…
Using that logic, Zac Efron playing Ted Bundy should have made everyone defend a serial killer. But that’s not what happened. People acknowledged that Efron is attractive while still recognizing that Bundy was a murderer. Attraction can influence how audiences perceive a character, but it doesn’t automatically erase someone’s actions or make people support them uncritically.

Understanding Lu Feng’s actions doesn’t mean excusing them. Just like understanding why a villain became who they are doesn’t mean approving of their behaviour. Fiction would be pretty boring if we could only enjoy morally perfect characters.

What bothers me the most about this argument is that it basically assumes that being overweight automatically makes someone creepy or less worthy of empathy.
