They are also removing the 1 year gap between two seasons.

And, if you ask me, this drama actually feels a lot like the Supernatural tv series. Except that Supernatural does not have romance, and that's just two ordinary humans fighting monsters, demons, ghosts, etc, episode to episode.

The characters relationship chart pretty much confirmed about this drama having multiple story arcs.

I guess we are in a world building stage of the drama where the main storyline takes a back seat, while a few small subplots are introduced bring the characters together. And we are getting a few hints related to the main plot.

I think the drama will still follow along the subplots after subplots, with main plot interwoven in between.
And the subplots are key to unlocking main plot's mysteries.
You know, the old-school Supernatural (2005) tv series style.

I think it's too early to get all the answers.

It's the fans who do them.
Viki gives them some benefits for subbing.

Viki subs are the best when it comes to Asian dramas, and I will die on that hill.

Some of the unreasonable people might just do that.

But I've seen very good Xu Kai dramas getting badly downrated for the first week or so by haters.
You see comments section, and everyone only has positive feedback, but the ratings show 7.9.
I've seen worse, ABAY at one point had 6.7, WOL at one point had 7.7, ALP at one point had 7.7.

So, while some might downrate the drama because they are frustrated it isn't showing in their region, the main reason is haters creating multiple sockpuppet accounts to downrate the drama.

Same here in India. 3 episodes to air in 1 day.
