You maybe correct on your point, but selected wrong drama as an example buddy. And, They may be westernizing SOME dramas....but that just to increase their reach ( Since kdramas have gained incredible amount of Popularity Now) , but you can't say that for all the dramas.

I am not lamenting over her choice, I kinda expected that.... I m just saying why even bother showing possibility of ml & fl loveline when it was impossible from the start. They were just pleasing the audience with those scenes, it had very less to do with her sacrifices or stuff and more about inserting romance somehow/anyhow possible... it's just kdrama doing kdrama things.
Lee yoon x eun yeoni sounds good too :) .... but they were more like siblings
