People tend to overlook/neglect this version

Really good drama. The build-up for Zhang Wuji was really good and the fighting scenes didn't feel like an overload of CGI. In comparison to the 2019 version, this version has a good balance of martial arts and CGI. Also important to note that the CGI back in 2001 was not that advanced, which meant the actors had to put more emphasis on the martial arts and acting as opposed to purely relying on the CGI. Also let's not even get started with the outfits for the 2001 Wuji and the 2019 Wuji. The 2001 Wuji actually had outfits that fit his character, in comparison to the 2019 version, where the costumes looked funky for the Wuji, making him look very bland. Lawrence Ng did a really good for this role, and Gigi Lai's acting made her seem very sassy, which is a plus for a character like Zhao Min.

Very interesting story and one of the best TVB dramas of all time

I watched this last year, and what can I say, other than the fact that the story was very unique and the cast was also very good. I enjoyed Leon Lai's role in here as a semi-gangster and his shift to a more respectable man. Additionally, I've watched a lot of TVB dramas and I know how actors/actresses act, but the way Leon acts seems very natural in comparison to the other actors/actresses that are in TVB. Someone mentioned this, but I agree that Kathy Chow looked very pretty in this drama. Not only that, there was many literary devices thrown in here, such as foreshadowing in the fishing scene. The music was also really good too. Derek Wan's acting was also good, especially with his shifts in how he acts, which is quite unexpected but fun to watch. There were a total of 5 different songs used in this drama, such as 對不起，我愛你 (Leon), 如果這是情 (also by Leon), 仍是痛在我心的你 (Derek Wan), and 從未試過擁有 (Derek Wan), and 人在黎明 (Leon). Usually I would get bored after watching a few episodes of a TVB drama, but for this drama, I really enjoyed every single one of the episodes. Leon's son also had really good acting, and I really enjoyed watching him act too.
