why do people think the love between Xie Wei and Ning’ er is toxic? what’s their definition of toxicity? I’ve…
exactly. their relationship is on the healthier side in the sea of toxic romances in cdramas. It might be toxic in the novel but I haven't read it and going only by the show, they respect each other's intellect and listen to each other advices. as far as how the show is potraying him, XW is greenflag in his love relationship . JXN is 100% herself with him and he accepts her and loves her as she is.
Man, I gotta spill the tea on this year's political dramas. With the way they've been dumbing down the plots,…
I am shook as well with the level of intelligence of multiple characters. got disappointed too many times with historical shows playing kid level politics. This might be the best plot of a romance costume drama this year
tbh too many shows this year had supposedly strategic leads on paper but in reality they were pretty stupid and the plot pretended they were smart. (one show in particular comes to mind). I am glad this show doesn't fall into that. We actually see ML , FL and SML plotting , have conversations with people around them , encountering mishaps and coming up with smart solutions. it's 3d chess and for once it's plausible and not done by just one person. although XW is the ultimate player.
Seriously the story is so freaking engrossing . I find myself invested in all the politics ,strategies and backstabing as much as the romantic plot and ML's chisled jaw lmao
C-government doesn’t allow any transmigration or time travel things… they need the modern novelist backstory…
lmao twinsies. same I wasn't gonna invest in a dreamworld for 40 episodes and then have an ending be with characters that we didn't actually know. I watched I think like the first 10 episodes then snippets here and there after I found out the ending .
Sorry I was a little confused. I get the whole picture about waking up being the younger her and making choices…
I was super disappointed at first when I saw that scene (and it felt so out of place) but then I realized that it changes nothing to the emotional weight of the story. whether it's a novel or not , we are watching a story unfold of fictional characters. As long as it's not the writer soul in the story. I am ok with it. the characters aren't aware they are in a novel and won't be. the same as characters in a normal cdrama live in their cdrama world and aren't aware of the external world. it's just a way to bypass censorship.
