With how some of the costume dramas have turned out , I am scared for this one.
This is by far my most anticipated drama of 2023. please don't disappoint. And please air ASAP I'm tired !

Very good start. i like the first episodes very much.
I am one of those who hated ashes of love and hated the FL's role in it so I was skeptical of this one . but so far love her here . and I think my ship is safe from the comments 🙏

- Anle brings up her 30k navy dowry.
- Princess Anning gets drunk and/or talks about the 80k soldiers who died.
- Han ye reminesces about Di Ziyuan and declares she is his only crown princess.
- Luo Minxi strategizes on behalf of Anle.
- Comic book villains being comic book villains.
- Nothing happens.

oh my god i just saw the trailer. this must be the best trailer i saw this year for real. so imaginative and well executed. hope the story is good as well.
i can't believe this is the same actress from LBFAD.

the legend of fake ziyuan

I thought the master strategist was Ren Anle . But the drama gave that role to official Luo instead. cdramas seem to love depriving their heroines of full agency . It happened with the long ballad , with who rules the world and now this.
I am still enjoying the drama. Just disappointed that Anle doesn't live up to the promise of the novel.

curious schedule. but it might turn out to be better cuz we are getting at least one episode a day with no 4 days break.

it's 100% a happy ending for the leads. not only do they end up together with a child but each one of them is at a great place in their life.
it's more the story of one of the second leads that ends on a tragic note.

how is this a sequel of go princess go?

I was surprised when I saw we had like more than 15 min to check with every important character. with costume dramas we're lucky if we get 1 min of the main leads in the same frame at the end that is IF it's a happy ending in the first place as it is seldom the case.

the ending was so satisfying . I loved how everyone fit in the big picture. I will be going back to this drama many times again to watch some of the highlights.

no i don't follow your reasonning at all. General Zhou has been shown time and time again to be loyal to the bone and sticker to rules. he would have needed a big justification like having his family be killed to rebel. GJS only deduced that the order was fake. no proof to offer. General Zhou only knows that fan yu is fickle and aimless but will not go as far as think that he wants him killed especially knowing their history together.
I actually like the writing for this drama . and yes there were some plot holes here and there. but certainly not what you mentioned.

ok watched the first 4 episodes and this looks very promising. FL is playing 4 dimensional chess. one of most strategic FLs we got in cdramaland. I love the ML presence as well. he is someone who cares and not one of those aloof toxic MLs with a heart of stone. I can ignore the production related stuff if the story stays engaging.
