i'm 4 eps in and i like the plot but the FL is so damn annoying! edit: finished this in 2 days! i ALMOST dropped this around ep 5. i'm so glad i continued watching because the later half of the show definitely picks up the pace and is more exciting imo! the first half of resets without getting into the backstory of the characters yet can get quite repetitive and i watched those parts at 2x speed but afterwards i was really quite invested. the FL is still a bit annoying at the start but it gets better after she goes through more resets and has more "experience".
dropped after 3.5 eps. honestly i was gonna skip this one after seeing the monsters in the first ep (felt like i was watching Marvel ngl). i do watch a lot of horror but this wasn't really my cup of tea. i was somewhat invested in the story of the cult leader but it became so underwhelming somehow? i felt like it just fell flat. i do understand the message the writers were trying to go for but i'm not sure what i was watching after ep 3 tbh. the plot was quite messy after that and didn't keep me interested enough to continue watching :/ i think more people would have enjoyed this show if the execution was better.
edit: also, i can't be the only one who found the Arrowhead livestreamer incredibly annoying. 💀 tbh i got a bit bored halfway through because there were so many long clips of the livestreams and news reports
i havent watched a REALLY good kdrama in a long time...! the acting from the main leads was really perfect! as always, kim taeri did not disappoint. the plot twists kept me on my toes the whole time!

"Grandpa gets a successful surgery and dies couple years later of old age. Dojoon gets the Conglomerate stocks. Grandpa tells him on the deathbed that it’s grandma behind car crash. He later finds out she had a whole gallery overseas that she used for money laundering. (I think she was painting them herself so most of art was fake I don’t remember correctly) He buys that gallery and when she travels overseas accuses her for the slush funds and she never returns. Marries that prosecutor girl (but there was no romance😂 she literally appears like 3-4 times lol). Basically he get the company and makes it bigger still having his miracle investment. He visits the place he was murdered and sort of accepts fully that this is his new life and it ends like that"
started this solely because of matsuzaka but i dropped this after 4 eps. it's way too chuunibyou ... usually jdramas are a little cheesy but this one was just too overboard 💀
loved the fight scenes! the narration in the movie is very important and needs some focus on the part of the viewer to understand what's going on. but those who are familiar with the shinsengumi/bakumatsu period should have no problems following the plot. the acting was good as expected from the cast. overall a nice watch!
aside from the pedophilic nature of the story, the cinematography is very very well done. it's impressive that the director Matsumoto was only 20! many scenes were very beautifully shot for me.

Don't bother watching ep 16. T-T
