Today, for the first time, i actually felt frustrated because of Yeong Ran’s actions. Up until now, everything she did had some logic behind it but this time, her behavior really annoyed me. After discovering who was trying to kill her, she invited that man to her house and tried to trap him, completely forgetting that he is a professional killer hired to kill her. In trying to act too smart, she ended up putting Hye Ji in danger and Hye Ji got injured because of her recklessness.

She could have easily asked Jeon Dong Min for help but no, she chose to handle it on her own, thinking she could outsmart him. How foolish can she be?? She is bodyguard, yet even in previous fights, she was easily overpowered by goons. Still, she keeps pretending to be tougher than she actually is.

I loved E2 even more than E1. Since it jumps straight into the main story, the pacing felt much tighter and more engaging this time.

What im enjoying the most right now is the dynamic between Taepoong and Miseon. I really like how the show avoids the typical setup where the ML is portrayed as stronger or more dependable. Instead, Miseon comes across as the steadier one and Taepoong often relies on her, at least in these early episodes when he is still figuring things out. It feels refreshing to see this kind of balance. I also like that there is no forced misunderstanding or unnecessary bickering between them; their interactions feel natural and comfortable. Miseon already feels like she will be a solid emotional & logical anchor for him throughout the drama.

The whole team also shares a great rapport and i can see Taepoong forming heartwarming relationships with them as the story progresses. Their bonding feels genuine and heartwarming.

Another thing i really liked was seeing Junho’s character with such loving parents. I honestly cant recall the last time he had a drama where his parents were this warm and supportive. There was one scene between Taepoong and his mother that i especially liked, it beautifully showed their warmth and bond.

One thing i dislike the most about dating shows is their panelists. They always go overboard with unnecessary commentary, constantly exaggerating every small moment. At times, it even feels like they manipulate how viewers perceive the contestants. I wish the audience could just watch and form their own opinions instead of being subconsciously influenced by the panel’s reactions and interpretations.

Another thing that bothers me is how overly dramatic they make everything sound. From the very first scene, they start declaring, "This is the best season ever!” or “Its so much grander than before!!” and it gets tiring. They even read too much into the simplest interactions. For instance, in E1, there was a scene where Baekhyun fed Minkyung a small dish she was preparing because he was wearing gloves and the panel made a huge deal out of it as if it was some major romantic gesture. They do that with almost every tiny moment, which makes the whole thing feel forced.

Honestly, i wish dating shows would stop including panelists altogether and let viewers enjoy the show naturally. They could still have a single celebrity host to coordinate activities or games between contestants but they shouldnt provide running commentary or interfere with the flow.

The constant remarks from panel members feel like reading live MDL fan comments during an episode, distracting and unnecessary.

I dont mind reading MDL comments but i prefer doing that after watching the full episode, so my own opinions arent influenced by others. Its fun to see what people think about certain contestants or moments later on but panelists are like having that commentary forced on you in real time, constantly poking in between the viewing experience.

E1 felt more like an introductory episode. Since its a 16 eps drama, it seems the makers had the luxury to dedicate a full 75 min premiere to establishing the characters, setting up the backstory and laying the groundwork for the main narrative. It did feel a bit messy at times but in a way that reflects the show’s tone rather than taking away from it.

I really liked both male lead and female lead's characters. Their personalities contrast yet complement each other perfectly. Taepoong, the ML, comes across as impulsive and carefree, someone who acts first and thinks later. On the other hand, Mi Seon, the FL, is rational and composed, someone who carefully evaluates every decision. This dynamic makes them a great team, especially for their business, he brings the courage to take risks, while she provides the logical balance needed to keep things grounded.

The ending was predictable but it served its purpose, setting the stage for the main story to begin. Taepoong will suddenly have to shoulder a huge responsibility and the upcoming episodes will likely explore his growth as he faces challenges and strives to succeed.

Although the 75 min runtime felt slightly long for a 16 eps series and a few scenes came across as fillers, the episode as a whole was enjoyable and engaging. The preview for E2 looks promising hinting that the real story is about to unfold.

The pilot episode was so good, i absolutely enjoyed it. The ex boyfriend/fiance being a jerk was a bit cliche but it worked well for the story. Jung Somin’s character does feel somewhat similar to her past roles in romantic dramas yet her presence still felt quite refreshing. She and Choi Wooshik have great onscreen chemistry, they looked amazing together and their scenes were genuinely funny and charming.

Another highlight was the production quality, it felt classy, rich, and almost dreamy. The visuals and tone made the whole episode feel fresh and vibrant. Im really looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

I tried watching this season after finishing S2 but honestly, i just cant continue after 15 eps, i give up. The main character, Ahn Nae Sang, is one of the most irritating and selfish characters i have ever seen. Every time he appears on screen, i just want to punch him. Even the actor cant act properly, his comic timing is terrible and he just comes across as plain annoying.

I actually loved S2 despite its poor ending but i just cant deal with this season because of the main character.

Also, the humor this time isnt as good. Last season had characters like Lee Soon Jae, Hwang Jung Eum, Hyeri, Bo Seok and Ja Ok, they brought great humor and their acting was spot on. In comparison, the comedy this season falls flat. Honestly just Hwang Jung Eum and Hyeri from the previous season were enough to outshine this whole one, even though Hyeri’s character was quite bratty.

From wat I'm seeing the so called Boycott already worked. That's why it has 7.6 Rating which is BAD. Becoz Normally…
You guys are just giving it more attention than it deserves by starting the boycott trend. Otherwise, it wouldnt have gained this many voters until now. But those MDL ratings arent going to affect the show’s success anyway, Netflix viewership will, and its doing well there. I wonder if people are actually tuning in because of the boycott trend on social media??
The ones boycotting and downvoting by creating new accounts were never going to watch it in the first place, so they are basically generating more buzz for the drama and attracting even more viewers lol. So, in short, the boycott trend is working, but in the show’s favor.

Steve has big role in drama, it's not just cameo but very important role or more like SML (not love triangle one…
It is happy ending for everyone, so for him as well it was happy ending, or should I say there was nothing like happy ending for his role, as he doesn't have loveline nor he was going to die, so yeah that's it. Plus he has good amount of screentime with great importance to his role.

Idk about others but i genuinely enjoyed the show. It was a fun fantasy romcom sprinkled with some emotional moments here and there. The concept felt fresh and honestly, i couldnt care less whether his name was Iblis, Satan or anything else, it doesnt really affect me since im not from that religion. For me, it was just an entertaining ride.

The production quality was gorgeous, the cast delivered solid performances and overall i had a great time watching it, thats what matters most.

Also i couldnt help but get a bit of Mr. Plankton vibes at times. Maybe it was the tone or the cinematography (because both are netflix productions??) but it definitely gave off a similar feel.

All in all, its a solid 9.0/10 from me.

[Note: And before anyone jumps in with how did you finish it so fast?? blah blah, here is the answer, speed controls exist. Whether you are watching on official platforms or elsewhere, there is always an option to adjust playback speed. So use your brain. Some people just prefer watching dramas at different speeds and finish dramas faster because of that.]

I'm not a fan of Bae Suzy, and avoid her works. Don't ask me the reason, I myself am not sure - its just a vibe…

Netflix really needs better scheduling for shows with more than 10 eps. When all eps are dropped at once, these longer shows often tank on Netflix charts. Most people can binge watch up to 8-10 eps at most but beyond that, they usually dont. Thats why weekend tv dramas still work well even with a biweekly schedule, whereas many Netflix originals with more than 10 eps have underperformed.

This show has a better chance of succeeding because of its popular cast, genre and writer-director, but even then, Netflix should have released it either in a WLGYT 4 eps per week format or in a two part release like The Glory.

Title Tempest
I absolutely loved the ending. It wasnt the typical happy or tragic conclusion but one that perfectly matched the show’s theme, leaving room for our imagination about what truly happened.

The ending did full justice to the story they had built until the very last moment. Sanho was facing multiple charges and even if he had survived, prison was inevitable. His sacrifice, whether he lived or not was for a greater cause, ensuring Seo Munju’s survival so she could continue her mission and possibly rise to the presidency, working for the betterment of the south korea (or should I say entire korean peninsula).

Realistically, there was no escape for him. And if the open ending suggests he did survive, its far better to think of him living in freedom than wasting away in jail.

Viewers expecting a neat, happy ending are missing the point. This wasnt typical romcom/romance drama, it was a multigenre drama with political espionage at its core. The conclusion was perfectly in tune with that. Sometimes, we need to look past our attachment to the couple and recognize whether the ending serves the story, the concept and the genre.

It was one hell of a ride from start to finish, i thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the nuclear missile wasnt used until the very end (jk 😝).
And honestly, the MIL was absolutely crazy.

E2 was absolutely thrilling, it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and imo it was even stronger than the premiere. The pacing is fast yet it never feels rushed, making it consistently engaging from start to finish.

The eldest daughter is doing really good job as villain. Her confrontation scene with Kim Yeong Ran was definitely one to watch out for and it feels like just a preview of the full scale clash we will eventually see between them.

Even the house staff characters are entertaining in their own way. I loved how the FL handled them, with such sharp wit, she is so fking smart.

Another interesting detail i noticed was the chairman’s house. This was the same house they used in The Devil Judge and has dark, dramatic interior design that adds to the atmosphere.

She lost me when I saw how she let her mother treat her. What bodyguard is she if she can't protect herself?
She is a bodyguard for the chairman, which means her role is to protect him from outsiders/strangers (to her), thats her profession. She is not supposed to be on guard against her own family.

Yeah, her mom is b*tch but no one walks around on professional mode in front of family. Even bodyguards are human and she also grew up in an abusive household with her father, so naturally she has vulnerabilities. That doesnt make her unfit for her job, it just makes her human.

If you are a teacher, do you start giving lectures at the dinner table?? Exactly. Same logic.

Ask any real bodyguard, they are not standing in formation around their family. Profession and private life are two different worlds.

I went in with zero expectations but the first episode surprised me in a pleasant way. Its a chaebol makjang thriller at its core but it felt refreshingly different and unique compared to others in this genre. E1 was thoroughly engaging and even the preview looked quite exciting. Im definitely looking forward to the next episodes.
