Title Love Next Door Spoiler
Now that it's over, it's time for my usual questions to decide if I'll watch it:1.Happy ending?2.Love triangle?3.annoying…
1. Yes happy ending
2. No love triangle but exes comeback in both leads life, but dont worry they are positive.
3. No annoying SML but u might find parents of FL annoying. If you understand them where they are coming from thrn you will enjoy. Evn FL is also annoying sometimes but all of them are flawed characters pretty much like normal human beings.
4. No break up, but it takes time for them to get into relationship (E11). Its slow burn but it was worth to wait.

Why are some people salty about the ending?? Imo it has the best ending. While its the end for us, their journey continues and that kind of open ended conclusion is perfect for slice-of-life dramas.

I have seen many people wishing for a wedding, but why?? Is a wedding some sort of confirmation that their love story has succeeded or what?? A wedding isnt always the ultimate goal of love, its just part of the journey. I would actually prefer that before marriage, they have an amazing dating life. They might or might not get married and who cares about that, they can stay in a relationship as long as they want. I just hope they will always remain the same and stay happy together.

❤️ Love Next Door 🚪

Eomma Chingu Adeul is a multigenre drama that does justice to each and every genre it tackles. It incorporates some of the most used cliche tropes of 2024, yet they are executed and concluded in a highly satisfying way, delivering meaningful life lessons. Whether its the terminal illness trope, quitting a job due to depression, the childhood friends-to-lovers arc or the exes storyline, each one is handled in a gratifying manner. Many shows i have watched this year that use these tropes tend to disappoint but this drama managed them far better.

The chemistry between the leads is exceptional. From the very first scene, they felt so natural together, as if they truly were childhood friends, the kind of vibe that made their bond believable. As the episodes progressed, their connection only grew stronger. There were plenty of ups and downs in their relationship but everything was justified. The progression of their relationship felt smooth. While some might say Seokryu jumped into a new relationship rather quickly after her breakup, i think the buildup was convincing, so it didnt feel strange at all.

The acting was phenomenal, especially from Jung Somin. She was incredibly natural in every scene, whether it was emotional, happy or sad. She absolutely killed it. Other actors like Jung Haein and Kim Jieun also impressed me. The supporting cast, who are veteran actors, delivered solid performances as expected. I never got a fake or forced feeling from anyone’s acting.

This slice of life drama excellently portrays the different phases of life in a highly believable way. Each storyline is given proper buildup and a satisfying conclusion, all while teaching that life is about growth. Every character has their own story to tell. The leads and secondary characters are depicted with their flaws, just like real people. I appreciate that the drama didnt idealize the lead characters like many others do. Here, they are shown with both their strengths and weaknesses and every action they take has a reason behind it. The more you try to understand things from their perspective, the more you will enjoy their stories. Whether its the parents, the brother or the leads themselves, each one follows their own moral compass. At times, you will see the parents at fault, while at other times, you will understand that Seokryu made mistakes by not being honest with them. Once you grasp where they are coming from, the show becomes even more meaningful.

Friendship and family are the highlights of this drama. Whether its the friendship between the lavender squad or between the three leads, these relationships are cherished, though they also go through their ups and downs. The same applies to family dynamics.

The slow burn romance is executed perfectly. Waiting 10 episodes to finally see the leads romance unfold was worth it. Their sweet relationship, which began after weathering the storm, made it even more enjoyable. The show does an excellent job of handling the angst between episodes 6 and 10 and then giving plenty of time for their relationship to flourish from episodes 11 to 16, with plenty of sweetness. Most romance dramas fail at this, introducing conflict in the last two episodes, which often results in a rushed ending. But here, it doesnt feel that way at all.

I have watched plenty of romance or romcom dramas this year but honestly, this one has the most meaningful script. While there are a few romance/romcom dramas i liked more, i cant deny that this one has a solid story and script. There is so much depth to the characters and the story that the more you think about it, the more fresh perspectives you gain on various aspects of life.

All things considered, i would give this a solid 9.5/10. It satisfied me from start to finish and i even enjoyed the angsty phase between episodes 6 and 10, which was disliked by many viewers of this drama.

The main premise of the show is that Justitia needs to become a better judge, and that’s what Bael wants from…
Bruh she has literally showed him her magical powers, wasnt that enough for him to believe that she is demon. And yes evn he has also accepted she is demon and he has met other demons also now tell me which rational personal will go against demons knowing he stand no chance against them?? His trauma and backstory has nothing to do with FL, i mean just look from neutral perspective what connection she might have his parents death ij his eyes?? She is demon who kills criminals and its not like she goes after innocents and even he knows she cant kill innocents which is why she failed to kill him & thats the reason he dont fear her so what kind unanswered mysteries answer he is seeking from her?? Just see the episode, he is foolish self righteous detectivs who thinks once he catches her he will arrest her according to human laws.

If we talk about characters having outside perspectivd, i will only talk abt ML & FL, only these 2 characters have major roles, ML has knowledge of her being demon who kills evildoers (murderers) yet he goes after instead of catching real criminals which is most foolish thing about him. Sorry you cant defend him with points yoi have made, they dont makes sense at all.

How are ton of people complaining legit missing the whole premise of this show and saying FL should be more ruthless…
The main premise of the show is that Justitia needs to become a better judge, and that’s what Bael wants from her, which is why he sets a goal for her and sends her to Earth. Everyone understands that point, but the writing here feels lazy. Has Bael ever mentioned that she needs to judge every case and then punish or kill the criminals?? No. That’s why she kills Daon as soon as he confesses to being a killer in ep 2 or 3. What Bael wants might be a different matter, but from Justitia’s perspective, her goal is simply to complete her mission as soon as possible and return to Hell. She doesn’t care about judging every criminal fairly, she only cares about finishing her mission quickly.

Being smart, she could just go to prison and kill several convicted murderers to complete her mission. And since she’s a judge, she could easily access their case files to study them first. The main premise of the show is that she is judge from hell, which i understand, but Bael should have set conditions for her, that she must judge each case as a judge fairly and then give the murderer the same pain they inflicted on their victims & later kill them. That would have been much better writing. What they’ve written instead feels lazy.

Now, coming to ML Daon, he doesn’t really help Justitia judge cases fairly. He’s just an obstacle in her mission. He doesn’t want her to kill murderers, which goes directly against her mission. Instead of aiding her character growth, he’s just trying to weaken her. When demons start feeling emotions, they become weaker, and that’s exactly what ML is trying to do to her.

You mentioned how can he support Justitia’s vigilantism?? no one’s asking him to. But since he knows she’s a demon and that she’s killing pathetic murderers, he should know his limits and focus on other cases. Does he really think human laws can punish a demon like her?? This is way beyond his core values and human laws. Any rational person would keep their distance from such a demon. But he’s stupid and annoying for constantly interfering in her work. Even the old lady warned him that in the end, one of them will die, and since he’s human, his chances of dying are much higher. Yet he still plays his foolish little game of chasing her.

She is demon not mere human. She is above the human laws.
She only kills if that criminal is murderer and not all criminals are murderers. Your logic doesnt make sense at all. So just because she kills pathetic criminals he is not catching other criminals. Lol what kind of logic is this??

They were alr caught criminals bro. He just needed to go after other criminals who are still on the run instead of chasing after her.

She is demon not mere human. She is above the human laws.
So you are gonna judge demon on the basis of human laws?? Yes she is murderer so what?? She is actually killing criminals, not innocents, thats her mission.

Daon knows her identity yet still want to catch her?? Why?? He wants to punish her with merely human laws when she is demon?? He is just stupid.

I dont think he is chasing after because of his parents murderer. Its mostly due to his self righteousness nature.

"daon is the most annoying ml this year" U GUYS. listen. his entire family, according to what we've seen, got…
Even he also knows she is demon, he has seen her powers and she herself has admitted but he still wants to catch her as if she is normal human criminal.

If he was unaware of her identity then it was ok but even after knowing she is demon, chasing after her is plain stupidity.

Atleast in those drama, detectives are unaware of supernatural entity's real identity or evn if they are aware, they take priest or shaman's help like The Guest but here this Da On guy is just stupid and irritating.

I watch this for my guilty pleasure, ignore all plot holes just to enjoy 15-20 minutes of bitna punishing criminals brutally but this ML is ruining everything for me.

If its his duty then just go and catch other real criminals instead of going after demon who is way beyond his reach. Its just stupidity to go after her even after witnessing her powers.
