You're absolutely right. And I haven't watched SOTUS so can't say much about it lol. I watched a bit of UWMA recently after someone recommend it to me and honestly it was..... a lot to take in. The acting was somewhat over the top imo and I'm not really a fan of the reincarnation part so I was somewhat discouraged by it and eventually dropped it after going through this comment. When I posted this comment the replies kinda helped me change my usual ways and habits of watching and introduced me to different perspectives so I'm thankful for them.

Li Ronghao and Lisa did an amazing job. I loved how Li Ronghao let the trainees really showcase their amazing vocals and I loved the vibe of the song as a whole, their facial expressions really projected the feelings of the song and I'm super happy with how it turned out. Lisa's team did absolutely fantastic too, loved the music video-like performance and the trainees were amazing with the execution (I'm still salty that Kingston was eliminated tho). If I had to rank the stages from best to worst (keep in mind that non of the stages were bad, just that some were way better than others) it would be:
1- Will pan's + Lisa's stages (I couldn't choose one because those two were equally as good imo)
2-Li Ronghao's stage
3-Chris Lee's stage
4- The9's stage
5- G.E.M' stage

True, and that's a good tactic. I don't like leaving anything unfinished so I usually keep watching even if I'm not enjoying it in hopes that it might get better, but so far this series hasn't shown any signs of improvement except for ep9, and lately this persistence of mine has been really bothering me when it comes to watching stuff so I'm opting to put stuff on hold and then maybe return to it later if I felt like it.

100% agree with this. I used to feel hurt with such responses, but now I'm just like, as long as I'm not disrespecting them or invalidating their opinions, I'm fine about it, of course unless it's straight up hate then that's a totally different situation lol.

Good point! Thank you for sharing your opinion. I'm the type who doesn't like leaving anything unfinished or halfway through, that's why I kept watching it, but I guess it just became an obligation rather than a source of entertainment after a while.

And I agree with you about the production value and the acting too, and there are indeed way worse bls out there, my problem is mainly how such storyline is handled and I do realize that it's supposed to be a parody-like bl. As I said in another reply, I feel like I'm being too hard on the series (might be because I had very high expectations and forgot that this is a thai bl we're talking about lol) so I decided to put it on hold for now and maybe come back to it later with a more objective perspective

It's ok, I understand where you're coming from. The reason why I wrote that comment is because I've been told that I'm always too quick to judge and that I'm very nitpicky so when I saw that it wasn't really doing it for me I decided to ask if I should keep watching. And I wasn't talking about here, I was talking about yt or other sites, the amount of positive reviews baffled me and someone literally lashed out on me for saying that I don't really like it because it's a great show or whatever. I was hoping to get other opinions on this matter and then decide, it might seem like a really silly and trivial thing but it really bothered me.

I'm just asking do I keep watching or not? Like does it get any better after episode 9? Ik I shouldn't be complaining now since the show is ending but it's because I see all these positive comments and it makes me feel bad for not liking it. So should I give it one last chance?

I'm stuck on episode 9, should I keep watching this? Honestly I've considered dropping it since episode 2 but I pushed through in hopes of it getting better and all I can say is that the only good episode out of this train wreck of a series is episode 9, and I'm not talking chemistry wise because even that wasn't strong enough to save this mess. I literally zoomed past almost every episode with painstaking effort. This series had a great base idea, but the way it was handled is very questionable to me. Ik a lot of people are gonna come after me for saying this but honestly this series is both overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time. Overwhelming because of the very messy romance, and underwhelming because of the way it is portraying such storyline. The side couples in the first half were the only thing keeping me from giving up on it, but then they had to take a complete 180 with them and make it into whatever this is. Someone please tell me, what should I do? Am I reading too much into this? Is the problem coming from me or from the show? Like I really wanted to like this one, I really did, but close to nothing about it is making me want to watch it any further.

So I watched the collab stages and I must say, G.E.M's stage was definitely my least favorite. Nothing against G.E.M tho, I think she's a great artist, but the stage felt more like hers feat. the trainees as back up dancers/vocals rather than a collaboration between her and them, but that's my opinion, some might disagree. Will Pan's stage tho? Now THAT'S what I call legendary. He really let the trainees shine and the fact that he tried to keep up with the choreography had me uwuing lol. The9's stage honestly felt like a nostalgic trip through both seasons, the remix was surprisingly good, I didn't really think I'd like it but I did lol. Chris's stage was quite good, it wasn't my favourite but I loved the song and the vibe, but I feel like it's kinda missing something, don't get me wrong, I love Chris and I think she's a great mentor, but I feel like they could've done something more to kinda showcase the trainees' actual talent more cuz I feel like it was mostly just candid shots of them rather than the actual performance, again, this is my opinion, y'all don't need to take it seriously. I haven't seen Lisa's nor Li Ronghao's stages yet so I can't comment about them as of now.

I stopped watching after a couple of episodes too because I was really busy but I kept up with the show through the snippets they released on yt. I'm kinda frustrated tho cuz some really talented and skilled trainees are ranking lower than others (Jun Liu ranked at 12? Krystian ranked at 20? Really now?) And there are a few trainees that I personally think aren't ready to debut yet (like Jerome D and Waston) but again that's my personal opinion so I can't really do much about it but hope that the few trainees who truly deserve to debut can make it to the top 9. So in regards of whether it's worth watching or not, I say watch some of the clips and decide for yourself because this season is quite long compared to the previous one so it's up to you in the end.
