Xianxia always brings a mix of emotions.

The last time i got hooked with Xianxia is with Ashes of Love and that shit was such a long time ago. I knew what I was gonna be in the moment I started TTEOM.

But the difference with TTEOM is that the way its written is too good to be compared to AOL. AOL was a legend of its time but for me TTEOM has went over what AOL has reached. From the casting, story, VFX, and OST is just too perfect that it goes together without any doubt.

As a writer myself, I do love writing sad and bittersweet endings because it just sucks the living soul of the readers that they'd want to re-live your characters in their own ways and that itself is a success for us writers.

As much as I am hurt with the ending of this series, I am pretty much satisfied with it. It gave me a closure with the characters and I think the writers and the producers did a very good job in doing that.

I am still emotional while writing this but I really am gonna miss everyone in this series.

It was a good shot at attempting a new genre for South Korea

Space Sweepers Movie Review

Not bad for Korea's First Ever Space Related Sci-Fi, although I kind of expected it to be an All Korean Cast coz they kind of marketed it that way. Either way it was a good attempt at the genre but the story-telling felt a little bit westernized I tried to search for the screenwriter but I only found the director (which was of course Korean). The villain was not that well established and kind of just there to drive the decisions and the plot of the main characters. A little bit disappointed yes, but the visual effects team did a really great job. I wish I could've known more of the other main characters aside from the brushed up explanations during the face off with the villain. It was just a little too on the nose description. Over-all the space chasing did give me some adrenaline to enjoy, the actors did very well on their roles and its a pretty fun movie to watch with your family.

It's very disturbing yet worth it.

This movie is definitely not for minors. Its so disturbing that even an adult like me is having a hard time finishing the movie without getting really disturbed.

This movie is so dark yet it makes you ask the same questions as the characters are asking themselves. The story is really well written, the characters are well built, you can really see the difference between each character. The cinematography is really really interesting, the way they use the camera angles as a POV/experimental shots just to make the viewers have the sensation of being a part of the film.

A movie that lives up to the expectations of the audience.

Yin-Yang Master : Dream of Eternity (Onmyoji Novel Movie Adaptation) : A Review

Before we start off with the review I'll give you a little bit of a background with where the movie came from. If you are familiar of the mobile game Onmyoji Arena, that game is based on a best selling novel in Japan and had been adapted to tv series, theatric acts and movies; including this particular movie. Last year December this movie was released in the Chinese film market and was just recently acquired by Netflix last week. This movie had been in the works for 4 years prior to its release. The movie had the blessing of the novel author and he was also the consultant of the movie production. The crew is as all-star as its cast with the household names of South Korea's Award Winning CGI Team best known for their work in the movie "Okja", Japan's Renowned Music Producer best known for his work on "Ghost in the Shell", and China's Hollywood Renowned Fight Choreographer known for his work on "The Last Airbender" Movie. All these credentials has raised the standards for the movie's expectations.

Now, let's move on to the review.

There were a bit of plot holes in the movie but most of them just go by unnoticed unless you're really keen on details. The characters were well portrayed by the actors. The wardrobe and the set design were outstanding, the way you can notice the intricate designs of each robes which were very similar to what the visualized character designs. The set design was visualized as similar as the Sui Tang Dynasty, which is a really tricky process but they nailed it. The fight choreography was very elegant as to emphasize each character's beliefs and training structures. For the cinematography, I really have to give it to the whole team because, they had to choreograph and shoot on a blue screen room for the whole serpent fight scene and the way they nailed the most complicated shots for that scene it was the most satisfying thing I could ever ask for in a movie. But, as for every movie there are things I am a bit disappointed of and here's what : the climax was well built but the way they concluded it didn't really surprise me at all because I kind of expected that outcome. Regardless of what I expected the movie was produced so well and it deserves a kudos.

This review may contain spoilers

It's a perfect mix of fantasy and reality.

The execution of the first half of the movie might seem boring to other people for some reason since it just shows a weird kid and a bunch of bullies in a typical elementary school. But when Su-rin meets Sung-min. Su-rin is now involved with whatever Sungmin is gonna do. Surin's world starts to revolve around Sungmin's character.
The shots are really really aesthetic AF praise to the 'Director of Photography' I really loved how the transition of the shots are just so aesthetic. 'Praise to everyone who worked on this movie'
In the second half of the movie is when the conflict starts to rise that makes the audience feel the tension and makes the 'What if?' question pop up on your mind. And you're gonna thank me for warning you that THIS IS A MAJOR TEAR JERKING MOVIE. I promise you, I knew that this was a tear jerking movie because, one, for a fact that I read comments first before watching and that I also told myself that i wont cry because I already knew that this was a sad movie. BUT I STILL CRIED so yeah..
Anyway, moving on to the actors. The child-actors are really good at portraying heavy-emotional roles and I praise them for that. Especially the main child actress, her character is so heavy-emotional-apathetic(at the start of the movie), I'm just guessing if she's going to be nominated for a some kind of an awarding ceremony she'd totally be the best rookie actress.
And dude, The old Sungmin(Kang Dongwon), as expected from Dongwon. HE just fits the role. No matter how crazy or how weird his character may be, he just pulls it off no matter what.

This is definitely a slow-burn type of drama

This is definitely a slow-burn type of drama. The way the writer elaborated the development of each character and gave them redemption is what makes it a relatable drama. Just like us in the real world, some people makes mistakes but they can redeem themselves by reflecting on what they have done and do what is right after that. Kim Dong-Wook definitely nailed the role of the main character Lee Jung-Hoon. His raw emotions are very visible through the screen. It's that silence that makes the pain more painful and it just breaks your heart as a viewer even more. Moon Ga-Young on the other hand portrayed a very bubbly and happy-go-lucky character but when it comes to the crying scenes she also never disappoints. Kudos to the production team of this drama. It was a fun, tear-jerking yet satisfying drama.

Unexpected and Underrated Drama

When I started this drama I didn't really have any big expectations or hopes because I was just looking for a past time at that time. Then the story got me hooked because of the realistic characters the writers put in the drama. Real life isn't all flowers and honey so I really liked how they portrayed realistic struggles and plots within the whole drama. The visual effects is not that grand and I know that this came from a small production house so its still remarkable at that level. The actors did a really great job, they got me convinced when they get hurt, angry, and all kinds of emotions so kudos to them. The characters are really well written, though I wished some changes but the character developments are really good. The redemption and all.
Over-all I really think there could be a season 2, In the hopes that the production house gets the approval and budget they need.

This is the slice of life drama I never knew I needed

Okay so first of all, THIS DRAMA IS SO RELATABLE IN SO MANY LEVELS. It doesn't matter if you already are in a relationship or not. This drama brings in a lot of realizations in life. On how hard it is to get jobs and apartments, etc., It's like that story your mom tells you over and over again during the holidays but this one really strikes your heart. Story wise I think this drama is really well written the characters were really fleshed out on its finest. I love how you can actually differentiate the character's colors in this drama. ?
I love the cinematography of this drama. It really makes you feel the emotion of the scene through their creative shots of super close up to the eyes which makes the viewer feel more intimate with the character. I think its a bit risky move but the actors pulled it off together with the camera work so I salute to that.
The actors are really good at portraying their characters. Its really interesting to see such actors pull off those kinds of characters. Kudos to them for that.. ?
