I know I'm dumb but what happened to Pran's dad I don't remember
It was said in one of the comments below that the scene were Dissaya (Pran's mum) went to confront Ming (Pat's dad) at their house was one of the sequences shot where Covid restrictions were in place. Possibly why Pran's dad wasn't there.

That fucking 1996 Romeo and Juliet scene had me livid when I watched it for film class' movie review coursework. That Juliet was an idiot - woke up from her fake death, and touched Romeo's cheek whilst he was about to drink the real poison, startling the poor guy and pushing the vial further to his lips. If she just reached a bit further to slap his wrist away from the mouth, I would have had a happy ending. My relationship with Shakespeare is love & hate at the same time.
