Stupid drama

After a hectic 2 days of intense drama marathon. I finally finish it. As all the previous review by drama fans i had to agree this drama is really pure shit fit for trash. Basically there is no story development which could attract viewers which demands high creativity. All i could see is the story centered towards a struggle between 2 male leads towards a girl and by chance she gave birth to a son. After 10 episodes i started to feel a bit boring as there are no new exciting points to tell other than these 3 person. 30 episodes seems quite redundant enough perhaps shorten down to half would be better. A lot of boring plot might be just a filler gap but it does not bring any excitement at all. So my verdict is this drama is not worth to watch at all. There is nothing to be left memorable at all

love and hate to this drama

first of all I watched this drama with a mixed feeling. My love plus hate
tangle up together till I felt I wish to quit this drama halfway. But what
me stay on until to the end is my intuation promise me the next episode would
be very much exciting. I could felt some climax into it but it is not enough.
The main couprit is the the length of the episodes are too long. 58 episodes
in total. The storyline does not have what we called as express editing which
cuts all the unnesasary scenes and focus towards the objective instead. It explains
the origin of the plot by the most stunning detail. Each details contains a
very comprehensive explainations which left no confusing potholes.

In the last episode. Cong Li Ming said : I made 2 choices leaving or not leaving.
for a decade I served the imperial family. I had been to so many places, I had done
so many things.Witness so many good bye and death, persue on many hard faught things.
In the end I felt so empty. After so many years Yan Shi Fan already decommission.
The imperial government I once served had gone into ashes. Other than guarding this
past imperial relics, what more I could do? What more I could stay on? Does this
country really needs me in the coming future? I Cong Li Ming really could get out
from this tanglement?

The comes his imagination seeing all his dead brothers and family members. All of
them advice him to move forward leaving the past behind. Start a new chapter and
persue a new hope.

I replay this scene 5 times in total and until now I still not yet bored. Personally
it touched my as an human. Most of us experience the lost somewhere at a time. When
we drop, we clean our wound and wipe our tears determine to rise up again. Never
let the past continue to hunt us again. Let it be a lesson to step higher and not
a rope to tie us back from advancing.

I had to admit this drama is really very well made. It slips a lot of real time
genuine human experience in a different way. Suffering is unavoidable. suffering is
everywhere. Suffering is a step to make us to become a better person. It is not made
to watch twice. but it is made to engrave the human experience deep into our mind
reminding us that life is indeed not perfect. Many suffering and sacrifies had to be
made before we could see the light of victory. Yet still once victory comes by there
will be a large void of emptiness to be filled into. Be prepare for new life adjustment
because it would not be same again as it used to be.

The best drama ever

Of all hu bing qing's cast in every drama title, i could safely declare this is the best drama i ever watched. Most of her previous / future drama mainly serious or sad ending. It made me felt some doubt whether i should open up another boring drama which would made me felt being FORCED to watch until to the end. Indeed it proved me very wrong indeed. I did enjoy every episode with laughter and joy. The dialogue script is perfectly done and it touched my heart deeply. For every scolding and complaining Meng Jun against her husband, it reflects exactly how my wife complaining against me. It is not a joke but her scolding is a sting direct to my ears. Furthermore family conflict and family values really done in the most creative and totally unique way. It poses every life challenges on 3 generation gap when each generation felt lost when comes to understanding how and need for each generation is dealing. Point of lesson i had learnt : How stinks is your wife or your family is they are still the dearest and the last refuge for us to count on when crisis happens. Thank you to this drama title. It makes my family life warm and comfort again

season 1 and 2 differences

After finished watching 2 seasons aka 103 episodes without fail simultaneously, I felt like running a 100 kilometer marathon.
So to speak I finally reached to the end of all the episodes. This is the longest drama I ever watched in my life and I swear I would never do this again as his drama causing me many sleepless nights. Now I would like to comment on certain things which is not really logical about these 2 season drama.

1) Major Character personality shift
Yes I do understand every actor / actress should show up their personality potential in their plot role but they need to understand that the foundation left during season 1 had fix their role permanently towards the plot. One thing obvious
is the Tang emperor . His serious face during S1 becomes comedy look on the next season this is totally against the
flow of the story. Nothing would be more appealing than Ning Que itself. He is initially a very dominion with a barbaric
attitude suddenly change to a gentle yet full of humor on S2. it seems there is a disconnection bridge between 2 seasons.

2) Black horse
I think to best explain to myself, this is a magical horse. A horse could travel across a barren dessert without need food or drink. It even had the ability to navigate by itself to a targeted destination without need any input from it's master. This horse is simply exceeding our vehicle's GPS and I would love to have this horse as my driver

3) Fighting skill
Ning Que's fighting ability raise a lot of my eyebrow. Sometimes I guess either he is pretending or not putting his full effort to fight. In many occasions his fighting skill not comparable to Ye Hong Yu yet he can beat Ye Hong Yu's grand master to a point wheelchair bound throughout all his life.

When Ye Hong Yu badly beaten by a mutant inside the wasteland cave, Ning Que able to overcome the mutant's attack.
This shows Ning Que's outburst on fighting skill is too inconsistent. I too discover that when Sang Sang beside him, he shown a weaker side of him. By conclusion he is unable to enhance his fighting skill unless sang sang leaves him far away.

4) Season 2 final episode.
This episode is really hasty done. I think the editor simply out of ideas . First is the Xiling sect. The story ends with loose end. We does not know what would be the outcome for this sect either being totally destroyed or parted on the own evil doings.
The relationship between Ning Que and Heavenly maid is even more ambiguous. It is totally unclear what happen next after the maid changed her mind to become soft hearted again. Actually I need to stress out to the drama producer that they are making a very arrangement mistakes. First the story is very dragging . Too many flashbacks to act as a filler just to buy some time , The final episode to my biggest regret is poorly done. If they can cut all those time consuming scenes while focus on key story I believe the drama would be more pleasant to watch

drama is not for entertainment

fei teng ren sheng (the boiling point of life) is not an average entertainment drama for everyday viewer
seeking laughter and excitement. This drama is more focus on the up's and down of an era starting from a
transitioning of a socialist economy where workers produce a limited amount of goods under the direction
from the government into a free market economy based on the mass demand. The story start at the middle of 80's.
The company Hua Qi truck company faces obstacle where they never endured before since establishment during 1960s.
For first time their bread and butter 5 ton truck suddenly faced competition from other few established truck
which offers a better feature and higher reliability forcing Hua Qi to create a new line of 7 ton model in a
matter of 3 months (in reality 3 months is impossible )or they will face a market elimination perhaps more
precisely a total demise to the company where thousands of workers depends on for 3 layers of generations.
After solving few main quality issues their 7 ton truck ready for debut.

The 90s came and the comfort is still far over. Due to the decline orders from the military Hua Qi were forced to
open their truck sales towards civilian use. Soon Hua Qi discovered their 7 ton truck is far from meeting demand
for the mass market. In order to sell into mass market new features need to be added such as user comfort.
To add the matter worse military including the civilian version starting to precured foreign truck brands.
Therefore Hua Qi faces an even more terrifying reality where they had to accept their truck in terms of quality,
reliability and the usage economics lagging far far behind from the European and Japanese brands. Hua Qi could not
even compete to the most basic features such as Air Conditioning let alone engine technology which Hua Qi still
depend on third party engine supplier thus limiting their ability to produce even more trucks to meet the market
demand.

From that day on Hua Qi came into a self reflection which they must innovate their own technology or face a total
wipe out from the Chinese market. Therefore by the mid 90s saw the reform programme to revitalized their product
and services yet coming to the 2nd half of the 90s a storm appears again threaten their survival in a matter of
months. For the substantial orders they received for few years suddenly grind to stop. Suddenly they faced a new
set of calamity which not related to their product but their single entity business started to show weakness.
Many foreign companies with strong capital started to eat out those weak companies. Hua Qi for first time learnt
in order to survive in the competitive environment, they need to raise huge capital by allowing other companies
becoming part of the shareholder , attracting young talents and innovate even further

starting from year 2000 onwards Hua Qi not only manage to survive but thrive in the modern world. One sentence
from Ai Chang An which is very meaningful to me. He said " All the while we are chasing against the time in order
to ensure this company would be able to survive tomorrow. Now in order to stay relevant we need to be the
initiator and let others to chase after us."

To say in general this drama reveals the challenges during the transition from a socialist economy into free market
capitalist idea. As the result a sudden exposure to this violent storm forcing companies to ditch their old management
approach embracing to a more competitive ideas. Hua Qi is a part of the growing pains representing every company need to
enduring for the first 40 years since the transition in the middle of 80s.

Let's talk about interesting characters in detail:-

1) Ai Chang An
This person is a high school graduate further educated in the "University of Society". He is basically a street smart person
who always prefer a harmonious solution rather than subversion towards his opponents. To tell the truth he is not a person
full of ideas but his strength is to borrow on someone's part of strength and combine with many different part of strength
to serve his purpose. He is also not a manipulative who only want to climb on other backs to achieved the social ladder.
He is also a risk taker willing to throw himself on the line in order to save his beloved company. From
there we could see his limitation starts to reveal. He only be able to use his limited knowledge to lead the war of survival.
This lead his life full of pain and bruises which only be saved by others offering a little door of hope so he could continue
to walk until to the end. (from this time on I always wish he at least receive some further education at least to University level)
Well this is hard to be blamed because he inherit a company with a shaky foundation and his participation always during
company at the times on the knife's edge. But the most admirable part of him is his determination to succeed no matter how hard
it takes. This battle harden person eventually lead to a success in search for love and his career.

2) Shen Xia
For her entire life she is a follower and a pillar of strength to her partner whom she worked with. She is clever resourceful
and very focus to what she is doing. She never wish to stand at the forefront as she only satistifed to be the second person
behind her man. The only weakness she had is she never had her own direction on her life. Her life always lead by others through
deeds and direction while she willingly obey and make wonders never made anybody disappointed in the end.

3) Xu Chi
For me Xu Chi is the most interesting person. I think he is the smartest of all cast starred in the drama. He is jack of all trades
who could be successful no matter where he is and what he is doing. Basically I like this and I wish to be like him too. At front he
looks like an arrogant person but in the inner side he made a very clear distinction between what is the bottom line of his morality
and protect his love ones.

4) Ge Tai Ping
I could say this person is a very unlucky person. Unable to obtain recognition from his father no matter how hard work he is while
easy to blow his top when any issues arise. Personally I'm really pity of this guy. He is the unluckily few who wants to make his name
yet unable to break the career barrier. He is the type who always issue a blank cheque in order to gain his customer's trust while expecting his friends would clear the rubbish up whenever failure happens. This is the main reason why he could gain anything throughout his 50 years of his life.

5) Ge Bao Zhong
Actually he is Ge Tai Ping's father. This person is not worth for me to mention but if this drama remake for a second time I wish
he could step down as the factory manager from the 10th episode onwards as from my perspective he is a sore loser who is only qualified to become a factory watch dog rather than manager

it is a very strange world

Imagine a place called China situated in a whatever continent . The people speaks mandarin practicing Chinese customs and yet this is not China. Every signage is in English but nobody speaks English. This is a totally strange strange world. It is more like a parallel world located in a distance galaxy 10 light years away.

There is a strange company called MOOYAN, Frankly to speak the script is full of flaw when dealing on engineering point of view. There is no way to calculate on using purely calculus to design an aircraft engine. Furthermore there is not a single paper drawing seen in every episode other than calculus . Nowdays in the modern world , there is a software to simulate the engine output based on every data input from the user. In every room there are lots of computers for the programmer to work with but why they still need to write down calculations on the board like back in school years or even before 1980s. The author really had a serious under exposure in engineering business where in this modern world everything had been purely automated. During an air craft engine test run I had a good laugh on myself. The scene located inside a corporate HQ building in a city central. It is a total bluff from reality. Do you know how dangerous it is to conduct a test in a dense urban location? If the engine exploded the whole building would collapse equivalent to a 100 TNT strength . I recalled a drama in year 2020 starring Chen xiang yu and Hu bing qing. the drama has a real pure engineering feel. Besides calculation there are simulations , mock ups and best of all paper drawing. It is more real life like . I would much more comfortable if the producer change their business nature into IT software company perhaps. It would much more forgiven for an engineering background personal.

In a location far far a away there is a place called BARZHEN . That place resembles in a small village in Thailand or maybe Laos tropical rainforest where we can encounter the weirdest population I ever seen in my life. There are people who can speak fluent Mandarin and surprisingly American / British English. Even a small local kid have the multilingual talent but one thing makes me wonder THEY DO NOT SPEAK THAI OR LAOS or whatever native language you could find. Over the village we also could find face look like an East Asian and half Caucasion. I could not see any tan skin which native to south east asian skin colour. The movie set itself is like a movie set taken straight from the theme park. It is so fake indeed. Why can't the set director spare more effort study the culture and the architecture of the designated location?

the final shooting location be in DAGON (if I had pronounce it correctly) There are so many major flaws here. First of all there is a quick scene shown the flag of Czech Republic but the geographical location the story describe I believe is somewhere in Russia. You could see a mixture of Cyrillic alphabet and Roman alphabet mix together. Even weird is the population speaks a mixture of English with Italian tone along American and British English. Maybe for Chinese population it does not make any difference for them but as a non Chinese person this contrast is quite striking to me. I believe the scenes is not really shot on any European cities. I would believe it is shot somewhere in Harbin during winter season.

By conclusion this drama had full of flaw in both geographical and culture so to speak. Without doing in-depth study on foreign culture would resulting a numbers of errors appear on the story itself. Overall I do not impress with whole series of episode and I would spend any effort to praise for their effort. My advise to the drama producers, DO WUXIA DRAMA INSTEAD ! it is much more exciting and you would not going to face those common errors happen to this drama again.

Slow burner drama

Memories of the encaustic tiles story is about the lives of the people living in hutong housing area somewhere in beijing. In my recollection of the knowledge about hutong this is a densely packed slum where most of the lower income people lives. The scene depicted in drama is actually a studio set which i seen far too clean and far too organised. Well this is a drama of cause things had to be tidy a bit to represent a good image to the viewers.

One thing i felt pretty amused is chen yu qi and lin yi. Both of them had a 7 years gap with yu qi coming to near 30 while lin yi just passing 23 years old. Still I need to praise yu qi for her professional acting skill depicting a teenage girl ( in my brain i still set her as nearing 30) sometimes i felt she was too overact herself by making those children's walk and act. I just could not digest the age reality versus the act. Meanwhile for lin yi due to his giant stature he shows a very mature looking man's complexion.

One thing which troubles me is during audio dubbed to English. It is not only focus to this drama but for every Chinese drama I watched before. In my point of view the Chinese had a unique way of speaking English. I sincerely much more happy for them to preserve this unique accent. When they perform dubbing a multiple of strange sounds happens which I felt the tone had become alien to the original speech. sometimes I can hear American English, British English, Australian English and most funny of all an autogenerate speech anywhere from google translate or a robotic tone. I felt it is not necessary to imitate others but try more effort to promote the own Chinese identity. In other words, BE YOURSELF

Regarding on the drama genre, i would label thjs drama as a slow burning storyline with not much suspense. The storyline depicts the normal daily life in hutong area where the population closely knit with each other at the central city of Beijing. This kind of city life with village feel hardly found elsewhere nowadays.

Being a mindset of an 18 year old in an 18 year old body is not childish

Lin xiang wan (LXW) and nan xiang wan (NXW) started of with a 2 different set characters. Let's talk about LXW. He had a very strong leadership skill. He able to drive his school mates into his own set of objectives and i can describe him is like a cold start engine. At first he would felt lost on how to begin with but once he receives some guide from NXW, this fellow is an unstoppable beast. He able to finish off the job effectively and precisely. He shows a very strong friendship bond leaving none of his friends behind backing his friends relentlessly no matter what happen. He would never give up only give in once his own friend give up on themselves.

NXW is a mindset character being too advance on her own current age. In a working age stuck between struggles inside corporate world. She had develop a strong objective oriented mindset and would never would dig herself anything stupid other than benefit for herself. Her brain is wired around the struggles among everyday competition to survive so one day she would not be cast aside if trouble happens.
She is very good in using relevant person to realise her objectives. She knows as long as she able to transmit her ideas through a correct channel and into a relevant authority. She be able to get her job done without leaving her hands dirty. This is a very typical corporate mentally.

Drama made too simple

At a glance this drama is indeed an extremely low budget drama. In total there are less that 4 location scenes. Personally i will not be giving any high marks on the overall story. The story plot is too simple and direct. There are no fresh and exciting scenes which worth to rewatch because much of the point are centered towards high level jealousy between ling kong and chen tian. Both of their behaviour are too explosive in nature taking all the matters by their own hands. When those behaviour comes to light it will dominate the entire storyline. I felt the producers seems runs out of idea on how to expand the story plot into more exciting and much craved to watch. Meanwhile xiao yu's acting skill is much praised. She deserves high credit but only overall performance drag down by lousy storyline. This drama would not achieve any good rating on general review. Quite a pity indeed.

many breakthroughs in chinese drama

Im a fan of Chinese drama. I had watched many dramas since last year with the total accumulating up to 20 dramas at least. Much of the storyline reviews boy girl love relationship and struggle for power within hierarchy to name a few. So basically plot would always the same no matter how they twist the story into a different way. The untamed had been the most unique every created and it still fascinates me until now after 1 year. The story does not belongs to any of the usual plot I seen before. First I need to give 3 salutes to this drama.

1) 95% of the cast consist of MALE. Surprising there are so few female casts in this drama and I would expect this drama would not be marketed towards female viewer. Well I was wrong in gender viewing statistic female and male viewers are equally balance. The center attraction well focus towards a very strong 2 male lead actors like xiao zhan and wang yibo. Both of them strong enough to magnet female viewer in watching them play.

2) NO KISSING AND LOVE SCENE but still xiao zhan plays a bit of gay-ish attitude towards wang yibo. I did not find it comfortable at first but later I got used to it. If xiao zhan one day change into a female attire and wear a wig., Im pretty sure I be easily fooled by him.

3) This is the biggest surprise for me. In a story full of brute force and very much masculine storyline I never expect the original author for this drama is actually a FEMALE!!... I did not mean to be gender bias but I had to praise her for her story work. To immense a female brain into male centric drama thought is a totally impossible feat let alone to make it so perfect without flaw , This author really deserve my praise. I really did not find any feminine trend inside every scene , Quite impressive indeed.

Not worth to watch

The storyline targeted more to the viewers on mainland china rather than international viewers. Most of the storyline plot displays the sense of pride towards the motherland over locally built trains. I do not see any rewatch value for the whole drama. I felt they emphasis a lot on patriotism towards the country rather than romance or comedy. It is too china centric to be honest. It is not entertaining and furthermore this drama is more qualified to screen on schools or universities as a subject to teach these students during patriotic lesson. For the first time this drama empowers woman in career field. Men portrayed like useless timid quite like a sloth when comes to problem solving. I had no second thought on giving any good rating to this drama. It is too boring
