ZJY range of a roles till now are the opposite of Esther Yu's Speed and Love character, that's why you feel this way.
Esther is 30 and was playing a character who is 10 years younger than her so she had to play it in a certain way to make it convincing for the viewers that's why she changed her voice ... Her baby voice is annoying for me but I was enjoying the drama at the beginning but then the scenario and all the unnecessary scenes made me drop it. (It felt more like incest to me since he knew her as his sister before she was even born and lived as such for more than 10 years). That's been said, Esther played her character in my journey to you differently and I enjoyed watching her in love in eastern fantasy too.
For me, ZJY played her roles the same way each time. When I'm watching her, I'm fully aware that I'm watching ZJY and can't really immersed and watch the character she's playing. It's like she's playing herself within different stories. She has to go out of comfort zone and do some changes about her appearance or the way she carries herself.
