painful ending

Let's start with the ending. it was absolutely the worse, Rang dying is like the worst ending. I hate it when they kill the best characters in a drama. I hate that as much as I hate the worst female leads that ever existed. The story was fine at first, the back story was amazing as well, how the lead pined over his dead lover is good and how they fell in love in the present time is fun. I enjoyed the development of Rang's character, I loved it, and how yong ji's character developed. I loved how a family was made by different people coming together because of Rang. I mean, he practically made his own family without the normal concept of making a family. Honestly, in this drama, I enjoyed his part of the story more than the leads, the leading story is fine and all, however, the fullness and the complexity of Rang's story is even better than the leading story so I loved it more. I just really hated the ending!!!

Thrilling love

This isn't a romantic thriller, it's thrilling love. From the background story of the characters, to the music that was used, until the topnotch acting of the actors, everything was perfect.

The story about a sociopath husband who is lying to his wife and child about his personality by studying human emotions and copying them through his acting skills is suddenly put into a murder case as the thing from his past start to haunt him again. It's rare for sociopaths to be the main lead of their story, they're usually the 2nd lead, like from the girl who sees smell or the come and hug me drama where the father is the psychopathic murderer. The story was amazing and how they connected the background story to the main story is not confusing either.

THIS IS A MUST WATCH DRAMA!!!

Still heartbroken

Scarlet heart ryeo is the reason why I'm hooked with historical dramas. I learned that historical dramas rarely has happy ending, however, it's still addicting to watch.

Now, if you want a drama full of amazing visuals, this drama is for you.

If you want happy endings, well, this aint for you.

If you want romance, this can be for you, depending on the level of romance you want that is.

Pros:
1. Amazing visual
2. Great humor
3. Fantasy setting of time travelling
4. Easy going, funny and lovable FL.
5. Amazing character interaction
6. You cant call yourself an IU fan without watching this!!

Cons:
1. Heartbreaking ending
2. Lots of heartbreaking deaths. (All the handsome prince died, except for joo hyuk, ji soo, and joon gi.)
3. A lot of cut episodes. ( I saw a lot of edited scenes in youtube that wasn't in the drama itself)
4. An urge to flood whoever made this drama, tons of letter to request for season 2!!!

So, there you have it. I honestly loved this drama, cause not only they have great visuals, it also has an impactful drama and I can't stop rewatching again and again, plus, I'm an IU fan so I loved it even more.

Amazing visuals

I never watch chinese drama cause I've never liked the visual of the characters and before the way they make fantasy dramas seemed like unworthy of watching, however, Ashes of love got me hooked. No episode is unworthy of watching, I cant even fast forward or skip cause I dont want to miss a single second and that's a lot for me cause I have a habit of skimming through episodes. Anyway, I'm giving 5 stars and if I can, I can give billions of stars for this cause of the story plot, and the beautiful charactera that made me hooked even more, then there's also the beautiful fantasy world that got me hooked. Deng lun's phoenix made all other phoenix characters from other dramas look like chickens. I love his version of phoenix and he looks hot as well. Then there's the innocent flower fairy. It really fitted her role. And her growth to being bubbly and childish to mature and loving is amazing. And she's very pretty so she really made an amazing chemistry with deng lun. Then the night immortal. I loved men with an obsessive personality so his character made the drama amazing.

If I can point something is the lack of romance. Its too short. I mean, the best romantic scene they had is the outdoor sex they did and after that, plenty of drama instead. I hope the next time they make an amazing drama like this, its filled with romance between the characters. ????

Father's love

This is a story of a father's love to his child and as well as the love of a child to her/his parent/s, It's basically a thriller story of kidnapping laced with fantasy setting by adding a time-travelling phone which allows two people from different time to talk using a phone that connects them for a minute. The difference in time can be seen through the different color of the scene so that's good since it could be confusing since both timeline of before and after kidnapping are the setting of the story. It's a good story with an appropriate struggle from both the male lead and female lead. It lacks the romance, unless you'll count the affair of his wife with his secretary however, that is fine since the main genre of the story isn't romance but thriller and family. All in all, it was an okay story with handsome male lead however the question in my mind remained unanswered till the end. How were they able to communicate with the phone?

Cringy but romantic

Honestly, in total, the acting is shitty, even the way they shot it and produced it is shitty as well. I'm very sensitive to how a drama is being made, especially when I see things that dont line up and I must say this one is pretty bad. Even their lines is bad. Too cringy and somehow, there is a lot I dont understand.

Well, at least the protagonists are handsome and pretty right?

Pros:

1. Pretty protagonists.
2. Good setting

Cons:

1. Shitty actings
2. Shitty productions
3. Cringy lines

Well, if you like cinderella, you'll like it. Its the usual rich arrogant man falls in love with poor girl. So there you have it. My review

Unsatisfying story development

I liked the trailer of the drama and thought of watching it, and somehow, I did like the few episodes, and even the childish banter of the female goddess and her friend, sky god. They were fun to watch, however, I already read the manga version of this drama before this was even made and honestly, it was so different so I was a bit disappointed. I thought perhaps, they were only borrowing the name of the manga but as the drama progress, I no longer found it worth watching and kept skipping parts. Even the romance between the leads were uninteresting and only found krystal's unrequited love with joo hyuk and her banters with her friend as amusing. I definitely feel as if the female lead was an unimportant character that was not really necessary in the story. In terms of the story, it has no rewatch value, the acting is fine, however, I think they could have done a better job for it. however, if there is one thing that is a bit satisfying from this drama are the effects. The effects were fine all. I hope a better story about gods and goddesses are made in the future.

2nd lead syndrome

My 2nd lead syndrome begun here. I started rooting for the 2nd lead because of this drama. I wanted so hyun to end up with seungjae. They had enough screen time together and it was sort of romantic for high school students that is but they still didn't end up together!! ???

I started reading fanfics of them together because of this drama!! I wanted them to end up together so badly, I resorted to fanfics!!

Pros:
1. A beautiful high school drama that isn't too packed or overrated.
2. Beautiful story of friendship and budding love.
3. There is character growth.
4. Realism of bullying and how its done is realistic.
5. The beauty of sisterhood is lovely to watch. How the other twin who is more bolder protects the more kinder one is beautiful.
6. Beautiful visuals. All the teenager characters really do look like teenagers.
7. Beautiful and close ended ending!

Cons:
1. 2nd lead syndrome
2. Somehow bland ending

High school fever!!!

My addiction to high school drama started with this. Park shin hye and lee min ho with woo bin and min hyuk' charming character made this drama amazing!!

Park shin hye definitely suited her role or she made the role suit her. Her ability to make the character sync with her is an amazing ability as actress.
Lee min ho, well, age really doesn't matter and he proved it when he nailed it at acting like an underaged teenager.
Kim woo bin, well, his antagonistic but protective, misunderstood knight really suited him well. He's like a puppy that wanted to be pat but bites cause he's afraid to get hurt.
Min hyuk's presence just made the whole drama lighter. His smile is contangious.

Over all, its an amazing drama that hooked me long time ago. I remember rewatching this for more than 10 times!! ???

Comedic couple

Mr. Queen. Hye sun made my day with this drama. I laughed a lot and the way she portrayed herself as a man is excellent. I loved it!!! ??? And the king is another great actor too. I keep on imagining jin hyuk as his lt whenever they're together as couple and it has made my day!! ???

However the story plot is confusing and a rushed. I didn't know how their body merged as one. I didn't know how he got his body back. I feel like they rushed the story too much and they didn't give any answers as to how they merged as one and where did the real hye sun hide while jin hyuk takes over her body and the most important question!! Is jin hyuk gay now after going back to his own body??? ??? I'm really curious!!! ???

So, I'll at least give it an 8, since it made me laugh a lot.

Attractive male leads

Its an amazing drama at least better than I expected it to be since I didn't like how they changed it from the webtoon. I'm not a fan of the webtoon but I be sympathize with the author. I dont she's happy to know that her story has been changed for more ratings however, it did got better.

Pros:
1. The cast has amazing visuals
2. The story did improve from the webtoon
3. The love is in the air.

Cons:
1. You'll get your heart broken for the 2nd lead, again.
2. The story is a bit rushed but its understandable since its a drama not a webtoon.
3. I wanted more romance!!!

I hope In hyeop leads his own drama soon. I keep getting heart broken for him!!????
