I love both the drama characters and unless something goes pear shaped at the end both dramas have rewatch qualities.

I read the spoilers. I am. I stopped at ep 31. I did a ep 18- 31 binge.

Has any of her BTS come up on Youku?

I looked at the actors playing the 3 men in her life. I am trying to recover from learning the terminally ill man is Wallace Huo. Plus the actor playing her husband.

Then her brother is under the main lead cast.

This is all too confusing on whether to start or not.

- chemistry with other lead and other characters

- scene transitions
- lighting
- props
- stylists and costumes
- wirework directing
- stunt director and team; including fight scenee choreography
- animal treatment: they yank on the reins too much, sudden jerks for direction changes

- story itself
- characters development
- plot devises
- story progression
- story or logic within that
world

So after ALL that we expect a logical satisying ending right?

So with all these in consideration the criticism is on one scene? The conversation that JL prpbably instructed the ventriloquist to say?

That? Is the thing that drops it to average? My god if you can find me dramas to fill my evenings regularly to fit those criterias then please recommend me those dramas?

I don't like heavy political dramas where half the good guys die and no open ended ending please?

I actually thought the biggest plothole was Princess Wanning who oversteps what an Elder Princess will do in those dramas, then sitting King Zhao at a lower level then this King. You cannot have an alliance vs swearing allegiance you make King Zhao subservient. Implied by the table setting.

All the prancing around everywherr by Jiang Li and the school where the females attended?

Now those are plot devises. I accept those as plot devises specific to this drama.

So I laughed because its the child's voice that made you upset? I then proceed to be reminded of other countless dramas where the child's voice is dubbed by an adult. Now THAT is really horrendous and jarring to my ear.

I thought the whole point is the person being able to throw that voice out.

The ventriloquist on threw her voice towards JL who seems to be talking. If you watch YT videos that's precisely what a ventriloquist does. Now whether they HAD ventriloquist during that timeframe js a different issue.

Asking Concubine Hu what her daughter soudned like. Like planning ahead of time.

I can't even remember how they met. The whole shovel thing caught my attention. I didn't remember anything else in ep 1.

Skip. The arches always ties up so nicely. So skip. I am going to watch the 2nd part of The Bridgertons.

The previews are too exciting and I can't take 1 episode tomorrow. I will see you all once ep 36 is up. This is the only sane way to watch it.

I swear this drama surprises me. Its still springing surprises on me so late in the drama.

Chill. The journey is what it is. If you keep seeing the bad things you won't just enjoy what you are watching.

I don't go through life with the " what- if " and deal with the reality.

I watched ep 28 to 31 all at once. My God tried drama is so satisfying to watch.

Episode 28 was very well acted, directed. 29 was entertaining. Ep 30 was plot moving forward. Then ep 31 was extremely satisfying just watching all the exchanges. I presume all of you are satisfied now that the 2 of them are on the same page?

I did think the dissatisfied expression on his face during the banquet was too obvious but man am totally satisfied with the 4 episode.

And now darn it have to wait to watch ep 32-35 together. I can't take all the single and double episodes day.

But honestly though the romance is ao blatant thst people have to be deaf and blind to miss what they are both talking about. The ending scene was so swoony.

Should I be worried that the pictogram for ep 36 is like a graveyard of swords aka post epic battle?

What did the novel say? I am still at ep 27 and intending to binge ep 28 on Sunday. I guess I better get to another drama to distract me. I am about to give up on one drama and going straight to the last episode. Have put a bed scene episode for 2 dramas on hold because the repressed emotions here is more sizzling that 2 people on an actual bed. Lol.

So yeah abstinence is hard. I've watched 4 idiotic web dramas while waiting for more episodes here. Those web dramas are toxic. The men slap the girls. The girl slaps the 2FL. The parents are toxic and people are materialistic. God so badly materialistic till I can't take it.

Then we have The Double. How do you expect me to watch another drama? The OTP has to get together because I can't even ship any othet romance in any other drama. Argh.

Viki is good for binge dramas. I still go to viki because its easy to pause and rewind. I hate those ads too.

Viki has so many Kdramas. That's why I am there. Just contribute then don't pay. I've never paid but just sub.

To be really honest I am so grateful when viki started licensing Chinese dramas as I dislike illegal streaming site and I never used to watch Cdramas. So now I binge watch there.

The Duke was in purple. Ministers were in red. You just have to pay attention when those in purple speak.

You made me think of jury duty when someone is charged with murder. There was intent.

So the argument he is remorseful or first time offender or coerced doesn't work on me.

You do the crime you pay. No amount of remorse will correct murder. And it is murder even though she didn’t die.
