The story of this drama, here and there, are so familiar and very realistic. It so well written. I started to read the novel few days ago bcos of the similarities!

I am in U.S. and company doesn't have much gossips in surfaces and personal differences like Luke and Donny, therefore behind the scenes I did experienced something similar but much more low keys. Women workers tend to gossip about personal life and men worker do have competitive attitudes toward promotions. And any type of harassments are totally controlled by training by taking video training every two yrs. Even so we did have two harassment law suites and we lost. It was due to weak HR, so we hired top money to get qualified manger. This drama set up seems to be very healthy and I like the ppl work there. It's always up to management who run the office. So Luke is a great manager.

BTW I married to my boss 😆 I can relate to main CP. It was secret and when we made announcement for marriage, everyone fell from chairs bcoz they had zero knowledge about us 😂 We fooled them 4 yrs.

I plan to watch after the drama finishes airing. Bcoz original is sad ending per reviews I've been reading. This is the story during the turmoil of Republic of China. Very dark time in its history. Some noted that director made few endings and it could be happy ending. Therefore, if they will follow the original novel, processes aren't uplifting, but more of depressing. I watched 4 dramas of similar period and all were super depressing. So after I read everyone's review, I will decide.

I noticed there were some hate comments and postings about her here. They have right to express their opinions but why pages or long long such hateful comments.... I want to ask them What did she do to you? Anyway, I am glad there are many who like her and praised her chemistry with JBR 💗

About Sun Qian.... when she was the FL of drama named Dr. Cutie, mean ppl criticized her looks. I don't get it. I really came to like her after that drama bcos her natural looks and cuteness. I also happy to read about the director of this drama praised her for her completely natural, non-traditional chemistry and distinctive emotional rhythm alongside co-star Jing Boran. The director also highly valued her raw, authentic approach actings. And great to know how the intimacy coordinator helped Sun Qian navigate the drama's many romance scenes. Bcos there are so many kiss scenes in this drama!!! Great Job Sun Qian 👏 👏 👏

Agree, Japanese also pronounce English name so different from the original sound 😂 and nothing wrong to pronounce the way they do in their own country way.

Many Chinese friends of mine pronounce Luke as 'loo kuh', same as Female lead.

My Brazilian friend told me this drama is now No.1 hit at Netflix in Brazil!!!! Why? Bcoz of Jing Boran. They find him super HOT and drama is also showing many steamy hot scenes that are very welcomed in Brazil. Glad Cgov passed this drama 😆

Ep 14 was so far my fav! Luke is super green flag 😂 He is a typical 'cold surface but super warm inside'. He just didn't know how to be nice and warm bcoz of how he was taught by his jerk dad. Therefore he knows how to care bcoz of his loving mom. He is slowly learning to be warmer and nicer person bcoz of Tao 💕

No one knows since he is very private person, but I read articles about his life in some magazine long time ago, his parents are divorced when he was a baby. His grandma raised him. When he needed money, he lied about his age to work and earned own money. His friends describe him he is very humble, stable and grounded. He is also a/super model Gf for 6 yrs now. I bet he maybe a real man! And I hope so too. Bcoz he is a good actor.

If you love someone truly and deeply, people can always change. I know some who changed for love of his life and some never changed. It's up to you, if you will stay in the relationship or leave.

As he said himself, he is just like HIS FATHER! The Axxhole. But his mom never left him, so his dad must have some kind of good. I bet this story is also how Luke will grow to become better man bcoz of Flora. And Flora will grow to be a mature woman Their relationship started only as age 22 yrs and 28 yrs old. Still many space to grow.

Ahaha, well ironically he was killed by his own son. His son will live with his guilt rest of his life. His mom also went crazy. Their life are way worse than miserable. Therefore I agree, it was too easy death for main villain.

I am very satisfied with entire episodes and very ending, No rushing, no fillings and no nonsense! I think this is one of DYX's best character he played, BTW someone rated '1' after completed all episodes. Maybe person watched different drama since misspelling of main character included in the review 😂 I wonder person actually watched the drama or not?

Boy I just finished Ep31. Hard to watch especially ZL liked Mo Yi like Bro. The reaction of Commander Wang was bad too. Then XL and FTN were promoted, that made them look truly bad. ZL is really just pawn for Emperor? I thought he was a good Emperor but I guess I was wrong. He just uses smart people to make his name as great Emperor?

I hope screenwriter made the story well enough to get revenge for Mo Yi and make Yu family be gone from palace. We need justice for Mo Yi ....
