The antagonist is the weak point of this storyline because they just made him half heartedly and as it deviated from novel storyline/verse anyways the antagonist here is just a cheap rip off of the devil god Xuan yi from The parent novels- ALP/TLI
Regarding fl as we watched in original I feel Song Hye Kyo or Moon Chae Won is perfect choice or Jeon Yeo Been if we go for a bit younger but fl character is older than ml in Ice world as far as I remember

It's not a good choice for a first historical series imo only experienced ones in costume genre will appreciate this more i would recommend you to try out the easier genres in costume side first
