The cruel fate of yi wenjun and how the emperor went unscathed just gives us how unfair the world is .. countless individuals after committing such acts have lived freely even back then and even as we speak.

here I can use one fav lines from one of my favourite stories "The world is a cruel place but it's also very beautiful". A character that represents Strength to protect and to move forward and the Beauty of living in a merciless world that does nothing but keeps challenging the very essence of one's life.

.the beautiful part were thr too but the beautiful parts can't exist without the cruelty it's as fate coded as that not everyone can get the happy ending the world failed both ye and wenjun.. it's a tragedy and we will never forget it

Upto some point I agree with you regarding the aspects of hyping the series based on actors but if we think like these the douban ratings are also not to be trusted they are also same way I feel thrs way more hate over thr in comparison to mdl although I shouldn't be making this comparison as MDL isn't a really big rating platform like douban..

In the end ratings are subjective (totally depending on the fandoms which makes up the majority of watchers of a specifc series) , I feel for most series in the end old or new,no matter how we try to rate or see them objectively

Actually it's still really high and will be because this was also loved by a lot thr are 40k comments as we speak so the negative cmnts came afterwards as usual they are nothing but just the minority amount of the huge fandom that loved this

Indeed and the personality here Naksu has would be her actual real self without all the hardships she faced back in past that lead up to the notorious manipulative girl who just wanted to survive in the world nd for her revenge which was actually again her being manipulated since beginning this girl deserves all the cheerful moments and we eventually get that here but still her condition here also not good enough as she was literally trapped in jin Family but uk freed her he became her hope just like how she was his hope in P1 and that's why uk's meaning is light and cho yeong means shadow, this is such a beautiful storyline but people are focused on useless bias

Although I get this is underrated on MDL. In a way it doesn't attract trolls here that's a plus point. When s2 comes this will boom again for sure nd then it will get the recognition it deserves here too

However ihave to disagree with you on the top c drama list ( T60 list of mdl Chronologically highest rating wise list). Your opinion feels too one sided. Most of the highly rated series c side on MDL are high rated for various reasons production,ost, high profile acting, suitable casting, availability on multiple platforms, c side audience demands etc

Hopefully it's gonna be a good adaptation with mix of Fantasy storyline following Tokugawa Ieyasu journey to shogun 🤟🔥 the actual rl char on which Yoshii toranaga is based on.
