Interesting … that’s why he played Shi Yuan role so well … such a misunderstood guy. Perhaps he will be able to redeem himself in the upcoming drama “The Imperial Age” as Zhu Di/Yongle Emperor
Sadly this drama is a lost cause the moment they played the amnesia card and then back tracking. I believe some of us plough through this drama because of Jeremy after The Long Ballad.
I absolutely agree the MDL rating doesn’t do justice on “Different Dreams”. It’s definitely underrated_ This drama appeals to a niche audience who enjoys the era and the historical events based on a true story. It reminds me of “Pachinko” one of the best production I’ve seen, in particularly the cinematography, musical score and casting given Pachinko’s has a big budget production compared to “Different Dream”. I would give this a 9/10.
It was a befitting ending … matured … unconditional love. Pacing and momentum was excellent from start to end. 12 episodes is perfect … short and sweet …

I reckoned you’re fan of LMH from your previous reply. Have a open mind. I haven’t been into LMH’s dramas. This was my first and I am very impressed with his manly aura, charismatic and greater acting skills. Apart from that, Pachinko is refreshing the casts make up is realistic unlike most C and K it’s all perfect. Even LMH isn’t all caked up like his precious dramas I saw on trailers. Even Ahn Heo Seop had pimples shown on ABP
