Short drama with theatre show feelings

This story plays mostly in historical setting which I preferred to the modern setting. It was fast paced, funny, clever, full of scheming and clichés, but still unexpected. The quality of the costumes and the set was very good and the acting was not bad either. I think the females did great job. I really liked the character of the 6th prince, he had great chemistry with the FL.

This is no time travel drama but more a "dream", where the female lead lives in her changed script and tries to survive the fight between all the consorts. The story switches also to the modern world, so we understand the female lead and her story better.
The episodes are very short, story is about 2-3 Minutes + nice ending OST...but I still enjoyed them and was looking forward how the story continues. With last episodes were little bit rushed in the modern setting and also very surprising to me on the other way, the historical ending felt more finished and somehow I expected it will happen like this.

Although very short, it is entertaining theatrical series with nice quality.

way to know yourself

What a nice romance story it is, about confidence, believing in oneself, family, insecurities, acceptance and love. It is first drama after long time not about homosexual love and how ppl react to it, but about two young ppl, who love spending time with each other and have insecurities and change with time, accept them self and open to each other. Blooming/blueming....
Very good video quality, color filters, directing, artistic style here and there. Also nice soothing music.
After finishing this drama, I felt very good, so rellaxed and comforted.

Favourite quote: "Something that doesn't bother me, could be someone else's huge burden"

Enthralling hard crime drama

First, be aware of the tags and description, this drama is +18, it shows many hard "gore" scenes.

This drama has intrigue storyline with well though cases and is switching between the outside crime investigation team and the struggles of our main lead in the prison. What I really liked is how all the cases and also the characters somehow all were connected and you can see it slowly unfold with every episode you watch.

The good camera quality, also the color nuance and the great accompanying music are very well chosen for this kind of drama and enforce the suspense fully. The main actors are doing awesome job, but what surprised me was the acting of the supporting characters. The actor’s expression let me be part of the whole world and I could feel the desperation and feeling all characters went through. The OST is also very well made.

Liang Yan Dong is one real mastermind in solving crimes. We could see through his eyes how some crime could have happen and this helped us to follow his genial thinking much more. With his thinking and profiling I was really surprised about what he could think of. I also found him really great teacher to the young and hot blooded Ren Fei. Ren Fei was my favorite character who really grew as character with the drama. I really enjoyed his character. From female actresses I was amazed by the performance of Eleven Yao in her role as Wu Yu Xin.

Now to the only flaw I have with this drama: The police was shown in bad light, couldn't really contribute much to solving the cases, were often clueless and also made some stupid decisions, which lead me to roll my eyes sometimes and to look at Liang Yan Dong's super deduction ability much more.

Altogether it is one really good suspense crime drama with great visuals and quality. You can see good production here.
S1 ends with big cliffhanger and shows also some secrets at the post credits. Don't forget to watch S2.

Surprise of this year for me...one special series which touched me deeply

When I first watched the trailer, I was surprised how theatrical it was, how can you connect Babylon and modern times. So I watched first episode when they aired and I was hooked. Many people stopped watching after the first 2 episodes, because they were hilarious. But truth is, they are really hilarious and so funny...let us see "In my presence, not a strand of Chen Mei Ru's hair will drop to the ground" "I don't fall for his money, it's his charm of scheming, it melts me" I had to roll my eyes and smiled from ear to ear...
BUT than next episode aired and the hilarious funny story changed to story with many deep emotions and problems, which stayed hidden for a long time...time to heal is what the characters needed to change to live for real, to accept who they are and what they wish. And when you think how the story will continue and you know you think you know all, than next episode airs and you get fully new direction, which changes the life of all 6 characters.
Is there a male and female lead? At the beginning I would say yes...with time I would definitely say NO. This story has no leads, three couple, three love stories and everyone of them is wonderful and unique and although all are fully connected and interacting with each other in beautiful way.
I cried, smiled, cheered with all of them and fell in love with these amazing characters and also with the actors, who did awesome job. At the end of the show, I was really happy I could see the love the actors put into these characters.
The quality of the drama is wonderful, great shots, camera work, also the colors were beautiful, costumes and the style fitted the drama very well. The OST is also very touching and I am listening to it daily.
Would I have changed something? Yes the end, I heard there was different finale too...I would love to see that one more. Although the end was well done...it didn't give me what I wanted from a finale. This is the reason the story got 8.5/10 points from me. I would so love to read the original script..
At the end, I have wonderful comforting feeling in my heart and am happy to count this drama to my favourites now. It touched me deeply and maybe healed some of my own little wounds on its way.

Cinematographic masterpiece full of emotions

This drama is artistic, like a theatre piece (only 3 characters)

Brilliant acting of only **two** (three) actors in story which happens in only few days. The drama is heavy on emotions, hidden or open. The scriptwriter wrote amazing lines, every sentence has more meaning and you have to think while watching this. There is lot of symbolism too. The story is slowly opening till it explodes with every episodes until the climax at the end. The development of the characters, the acting itself, amazing. These characters will be forever engraved in my heart.

The cinematography has pulled me in from the first trailer, wonderful quality, coloring, shots. The location is architecture house in the tropical Thai forest, which also supports the story and the characters. The OST and accompanying music fit the mood greatly.

Some of many quotes I loved:
Quote: "Some ppl will never see us as their equals."
Quote: "It's just tolerance, not acceptance."
Quote: "People may live in the same world, but people experience it differently. "
Quote: "Sometimes we can't change people, because some people just don't change. "
Quote: "You shouldn't force your views and think for others."

Based on a life real life incident

Thrilling, realistic, hard and brutal drama acted in very hard cold environments, in the wildness . Be aware it is about human trafficking, local mafia and unsolved crimes.

The actors are all veterans, the acting is really realistic , same goes for the kid actors. The cinematography is very well done and the set up and colors work really well for this drama. The music is full of suspense. The pace is fast, because the story also moves really fast, changing locations and getting to know new characters. To the end it was little bit too fast paced.

I really like how the story enfolds and all the main characters connect at the beginning. The episodes are thrilling and often end on some cliffhanger. Both main leads, Zhou You and Hui Yan don't really work together, but because both cases are connected, they cross their paths very often, till the real climax. We also get to follow the story of the kidnapped girl and also the story from the past, 30 years ago. I really enjoyed the female patrol and ZhouYou's interactions, while following her we get to see the real cold life in snowy mountains.

After watching "Hunter" I was looking for similar hard environment drama with realistic acting and good story. This drama really met my expectations. I really enjoyed it.

"If you were the taste, I would be my ingredient."

If you like really really slow paced drama with lot of eye fuc..ng, awesome cinematography and quality of acting and presentation, than watch it, it is different aproach on BL drama. For sure not everyone's cup of tea, but for me yes.
Novel's title "Grab a bite" would be better title for sure than Bite Me. Bite Me doesn't represent the show, because it is too quite, soft and relaxed, concentrating on the slow flow of emotions, life as a cook and the taste for food, finding yourself and your emotions. I think love as relationship was not the main point of this drama but more the hidden approach to find where you belong, find your dreams, to find where you feel home, what makes you feel the love, also riding on the soulmate wave. I super enjoyed the slow pace, It is one of my favourite comfort dramas now, I feel good when I think of it, relaxed and somehow in peace with me.
I really loved all the main characters(Mark, now I am your fan)...some side character (the supposed villains) didn't really need them, but all the other characters were wonderful. Aek's mum, the actress did awesome job, was portrait so down to earth and lovely, she really fit as Aek's mum, their soft warm character...
Last episode was the weakest episode, many fillers and some not really explained parts, which were there out of context, needed more space to understand them better.
The special episode really gives me more input on the series, DND's first Y series, also for the director. How he wanted to approach it, the direction was intended, also Zung(Aoe) didn't want to participate in Y series, but after talking about how different this Y series should be, finding the same direction, he joined the project. They really put lot of thoughts into the drama, all locations were connected to the characters. The food they all cooked and study how to cook. Food director was Wiphob's actor, is he cook? He talked a lot about the food shots. Director talking about love was also beautiful "Any form can be as beautiful as others, in its own way. "

Broken family through past happenings, can they heal?

While writing this review, I was listening to the comforting OST...although I have never really listened to the words, the music is mirroring my feelings of this drama and is giving me nice closure.

After watching the trailer, I knew what was coming at me and I was not surprised, great acting by many veterans, interesting characters and coloring and camera quality. The story, personally never had really big highs or lows, it had similar pace. I would not call it a suspense thriller. The characters had all many problems within themself and among themselves. I liked the family setting and could quickly feel for the characters. The first half of the drama was more a setup and more showing us the superficial problems. I would also say, it was weaker part of the drama. In the second part we really got to known the real problems, how deep the case from the past influenced all the people. Also how differently we saw the characters in the first half and maybe misjudged them and saw all the beginning in different light.

The police investigation was great, young police officer Li has shown his potential in asking good questions. Mi La, the young actress playing both Xuan Zhen and Nianmei, surprised me in the second half of the drama, because I found her acting weaker in the first half, but now I understand why she acted like that, the second part really shows all whys to both characters she was playing. The end, I like how the case finale was presented, how we learnt the truth through two different sources. But I didn't really like how they rolled out the end of both cases, not convincing enough, they could have show more of the trails earlier on.

In the end, the solving of the case really helped the whole family and people to grow, change and accept things, it helped them heal and finally put Xuan Zhen's lingering to peace. I enjoyed it, because this dramas was as I was expecting it to be.

12 episode to solve two cases and ... heal the broken family.
