Hi!!!   ╭(づ￣ 3￣)づ

Welcome to my MDL profile page. There really ain't much to view here ^^  Hopefully I would be updating this as I go along. Am not good with such self-intro   ~\o/~

I am a working adult who enjoys dramas and movies in my spare, alone time.  Although I have joined MDL in 2018, it is only in 2020 that I start to really use MDL.  I have quite a good sense of humor although you won't see that at my feeds and reviews, lol!  Here, I am mostly introspective and analytical.  I mainly watch C-dramas as I am Chinese hence proficiency in the language and culture makes me bias.  I also watch K and J -dramas, but much less  ^^

 ❤   倪妮  Ni Ni  ❤   

Highly recommend Ni Ni's first movie The Flowers of War, The Rise of Phoenixes, and Love & Destiny-- these are her best works imo.

In contemporary setting, her best performance is in My Best Friend's Story ;)  although the drama script leaves much to be desired...

I hope I would be able to watch Ni Ni at one of her theatre plays in China, someday... on my bucket list ^^

I first watched Li Yi Tong in Bloody Romance back in 2019 but didn't complete it at the time (life happens) .... It wasn't until I saw her on the show When We Write Love Story that I got interested. She has impressed me with her personality and wit, before I realize she is also quite an awesome actress!

My favorite of her dramas is Legend of the Condor Heroes 2017-- She was so beautiful as Huang Rong and so graceful in her fight scenes! She did most of the fights herself and lost a tooth... (she has a false tooth)

Some of her best acting is in Bloody Romance and Royal Nirvana. I love these 2 dramas too, but they are heartbreaking   .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.

Highly recommend Guardian, Suddenly This Summer and The Long Night-- these are his best works imo.  

And oh, it is true that Johnny Bai has not had a historical drama release yet. He did a few but due to other reasons, they can't be released...  

Looking forward to the release of The Wind Blows From Longxi, likely to be his first historical drama!

I first saw Qu Chuxiao in Bloody Romance.  Didn't find him attractive at the time.... But this year (2021) watched him in Love Will Tear Us Apart and currently watching Mystery of Antiques 3, and he is suddenly looking very manly and charming  ❤  to me!!

Eager to see more of Chuxiao's film projects.  He is so hot...

Prior to Covid, my main drama domain was US and UK dramas. BIG fan of The Good Place, Elementary, Umbrella Academy, Brooklyn 99 and the DC superheroes series.  My favorite cdramas... Um, these 3 dramas are not the best in cdrama-land, but they are special to me   \(^.^)/

#1    Guardian#2      Love & Destiny#3        Once Upon a Time in Ling Jian Mountain
I watched this some time in mid-2019 and is special to me as this is one of the first cdramas I saw. I didn't know what to expect and had no idea it was the first Chinese BL novel adaptation in drama! Then I fell in love with the cast and in spite of the poor script and editing work, I love the story. Guardian introduced Bai Yu, Zhu Yilong and Gao Yu'er to me. And oh, I so LOVE the opening theme song!  Still give me goosebumps I have watched Ashes of Love and Eternal Love prior to this, and thought they were beautiful, until Love & Destiny

Lingxi is my fav xianxia FL. Ni Ni's acting was phenomenal, and Chang Chen is the best God of War!  You have to watch this drama to understand what I mean ;)  And do listen to the OST!  Do not skip the opening and ending songs
♡		I watched this in Dec 2019 and have since re-watched it 3 times!  This is my 'happy drama'-- when I'm sad or just bored.  Sandrine Pinna and Xu Kai were sooo good in this!  The plot and their physical comedy had me laughing throughout!  And Gao Yu'er too!  Her love arc is one of my fav moments in the drama.  They even have an African-Indian and the man spoke his own lines!  Highly recommend this if you want a good comedy


My fav genre is..... FANTASY ❤  Quite obvious isn't it?  The dramas listed above are mostly fantasy or fantasy-related.  Actually all screen productions are fantasy, because they ain't real  ;)

I like a lot of other dramas and movies too  ♡  Do check out my reviews for some recommendations  ;)
