good acting. great pacing and bgm. compelling story with some melodramatic aspects. but that speech in the last episode wasn’t it. narratively speaking if we came this far wanting to see the guilty be punished, why did the show end without showing any of that to us? pretty unsatisfying way to end the show. it really didn’t make the impact that maybe the writers thought it did.
im a little confused about the last two eps. did she switch lives with her cousin? why did the place she was living in and her manager change? who was that friend she was moving in with? wasn’t she dating some other guy? so many questions!
simple story, good acting, good ost, great production and casting. i wish they added more depth to the mental illnesses that the protagonists faced, but 8 eps is so short for that.
going by the og manga which this is based on they did leaps and bounds beyond anything it could offer in the best possible way. my only wish was for this to not stick to the typical jdrama trope where the mains finally get together in the last ep. but otherwise, all the added details and the delicate story was a joy to watch every week. Also their height difference is the cutest thing. The casting was very well done. i want more!!!
does anyone know the exact reference of pi? or it’s just random
it's a play on the word "oppai" which means boobs. akafuji says op and then you see the pi sign on the screen lol. nips are called something else (chikubi). akafuji was too shocked to see hajime's chest basically.
im gonna say something that will probably be an unpopular opinion but they have no chemistry and the show feels pointless/plotless. like it's ep 4 already and nothing has really happened. the acting is also not great. i liked gawin's acting but here he acts so over the top and it feels like he was told to act to fit into the 'uke' box.
The short of it is BL adaptations have been blacklisted in China since policy change in 2021 and it doesn't look…
i wish what happened with the spirealm happened instead, so even if the show was live for a few hours on a platform and then got pulled, we could have the full season. i really wanted it for this show 😭💔
okay can someone please explain the whole controversy with this show? why did it get cancelled after 8 eps and why is Japan airing it now? and it's edited in this new version? will we ever get the original unedited episodes after those 8 eps?
toxic psycho men: the series that's it. all three of them. i know this'll be an unpopular opinion. but i said what i said. the direction, production, acting and casting was all great. but the problematic source material is what let this thing down. im a fan of darker storylines but this was a whole lot of horrible violent acts without the characters causing the trauma facing the consequences. yes jaemin went to jail. but only he did. they also took all the sexual assault from JM and SH so lightly which was disappointing.
this show had so much promise but couldn't deliver imo. if only it had an actual plot, and dunk would know how to emote, it would've easily been one of the best bls of the year. idk what jojo had envisioned for this show but it didn't happen. firstkhao and joong carried the show. the episodes were entirely too dragged out and long for the lack of plot.
