ep 13 --- i told u all already there something more to the storystill disappointed though
I think this was important as it's major personal world view breaking for HWF. But they could have fleshed it out more and make it more impactful. We felt heartbroken with JCY siding with the poisoner but the heartbreak of HWF's father doing something questionable by HWF's standards and causing her mother's death wasn't as deeply felt. We could do without Liu Lang being a thorn in the side third party creating misunderstandings.
I was already disappointed with HWF's father but even moreso now after Ep13. Ah so very much disappointed! But it's good they quickly resolved it. I guess the writer needed a turning point for HWF to decide on what she wants not just to be an independent woman with a flourishing business and making lots of money. It does feel a bit anticlimactic 😅 I've been so heartbroken for days and it got resolved just like that hahaha
The release break after Ep12 is really 💔 like why would you let us wring our handkerchiefs in despair for days waiting for the next episodes? Torture! 😢😥😅🤣🤣🤣🙃

She's not an unkind person but why speak without thinking and we should be okay with it? Even words spoken in anger should be apologized for imho. So I can't be lenient in this regard.

If you think about it, novel WS was more interested in warfare and uniting the Central Plains which makes him rough and tough while drama WS is more about reclaiming the Wei territories only and to serve the Wei people which makes him have a more benevolent heart. I was more surprised with how they first wrote drama MM being more scheming than novel MM. But both Manman balances off their respective WS.
