but i'm loving this drama

tbh ep12 was full of illogical holes that i wasn't giving it my full attention (unlike previous eps) but "izmael" "paltima" "airstrike" in my brain clicked to directly relate to the ongoing crisis in gaza that my brain froze a bit (like heejoo during that broadcast) and just accepted it to keep watching. so i agree that the fact that their made up country names and scenario is too close to an existing and ongoing issue was obvious. the intent of the writer is anyone's guess, but was not a well thought out move imho.

Koreans only have a few surnames, so I don't usually make connections based on surnames. Even having same names (surname+given name) are common in Korea.

also how many times will the real saeon be alone in the same car as hee joo? first ime, she crashed her car hurting him, next she grabbed his hair, third she crashed the car off the cliff. psycho guy does not learn

to add, her real dad is the one in the nursing home. she was registered under the hong family after her mom married the rich newspaper/media guy thus changing her surname.

same. but it's light so i don't mind to spend some minutes to keep watching it.

makes me feel that it's exactly why they couldn't release it early. like they didn't know when to time this kind of drama versus the other costume dramas for 2024.

Depends. If you like wuxia with lots of comedy mixed in with adventure, then you'll like it. If you prefer serious wuxia adventure dramas, maybe not. There are many times that makes you think "oh they are so unserious hahaha"

at least this is how my brain accepts it. besides, a little illogical dramatic flair is acceptable. it's illogical characters that i find harder to deal with in dramas.

you might get frustrated with the episode drops of ongoing kdrama like this one. cdrama drops fast while kdrama usually is just 2 episodes per week.
that said, this is a good drama to watch. tsundere ml is similar to many tsudere ceo ml in cdramaland.
other dramas would be alchemy of souls (it's inspired by wuxia so it's very close to that genre). other light romcoms are also within the same feel as cdrama romcoms like business proposal.

gonna have to wait next year if that's your plan.
just give in to the temptation and join us ongoing drama watchers' ups and downs week on week
