i really don't like the ye ling er of this season. she irks me the most.

i love how we're seeing fan xian's growth. he's not a character who automatically knows everything just because he's the main character. we can actually see that he still has to work on his skills and scheming because he's still not in the same level as the elders. it makes more sense than being able to lead the game despite being a new player.

at some instances even i get manipulated by the characters while being very well aware of the fact that it's all just an act lmao

the emperor is too smart for me too handle. while fan xian is a step ahead of cheng ze, the emperor is 10 steps ahead of fan xian. i wonder how fan xian will be able to defeat him one day and what will it cost. i don't think i can wait for years for s3 to happen even tho i don't have a choice lol.
