Popular does not mean a masterpiece either but being popular helps. Then more people can say it is a masterpiece but it is still not a fact. Like I am sure me saying Not Me is a masterpiece is not either. Usually every series have their faults. A masterpiece for me is a series that has none which is impossible because then all people should agree on it and that can never be so. But BB being masterpiece for some is fine, because for them it is. 😊

BB was promoted but it is just slightly above normal BL level. They still over promote the actors which has taken the limelight off from the series. Also, I am not fond to the over advertising, product placing, money mongering they are doing with it. I did like BB but for me it was not the masterpiece everyone is telling it was. BUT it was way better than normal BLs. Then came Not Me that is that for me.
It is really a shame that Not Me doesn't get that much viewers than the fluffier series.
For me Not Me and Manner of Death represent the best of the BL genre. I could recommend them to all people and not just those that watch BL. Don't get me wrong. I also do watch the fluffier ones but not because of their story, nor the characters but mostly because they are -there-. Few of them have had some redeeming qualities that lift them above the normal. Not Me also doesn't over glorify the couples so that the actors rise over to be the point of the show and not the show itself.
