An epic xianxia drama with the most beautiful romantic story at its core

Where do I even start with this beautiful drama? The musical score—perfect. The characters—amazing. The story—sublime. The dialogue—out of this world. The romance—chef’s kiss!

You guys, I have been an MDL lurker for the longest time, and I’ve seen so many reviews where people say they literally had to create an account just to leave a review. For the very first time, I actually understand that feeling.

I’m writing this review with tears in my eyes because I can literally see several scenes flashing through my brain. Having followed this drama from the very first episode, I can say for sure that it is worth every minute you spend watching it.

I loved the romance and the different themes that were explored. It all came together in such a beautiful cocktail. And while they could have simply left it as a straightforward, star-crossed romance, we got to see so many different angles of love—not just romantic love, but familial love, and even the effects of obsession on a human being.

You guys, if I go on, I’ll end up dropping spoilers, and I absolutely do not want to do that. So please, just watch this drama! This is definitely one of the best xianxia dramas I’ve seen in a hot minute, and I know I’ll always recommend it. The two leads are now officially my top favorite actors!
