Missing this drama, even though I am enjoying the new one too. I do like how this one was way more solid in the story and not quite prone to shocking the audiences with unexpected twists that come from nowhere.

They do have a long way to go imo. Maybe the longest from the potential couples. They're immature and at very different points in their lives.

Also, if they don't start by talking about their past, but instead she keeps trying to have the moral high ground while refusing to talk to him and he keeps getting scammed by that man and his wife (I believe that actually) and doesn't change his 'job', the chances are zero for them to even start.

If, just if @Kathryn_51 theory comes true and Gyeol ends up being their one night stand baby...well, that's be quite the twist but would force them to talk lmao.

I was so sad for him but also, his family while not knowing, refused to talk about the possibility to him. Maybe to protect him? Even if that only made him more sure of the truth.

For a moment I had to re read the Bio mom part bc that's what I call GR, GY and GO's mom. I just can't vring myself to call her their mother bc (yes, the dad is a deadbeat) but this woman imo was just too cruel to her own kids.

Well, I am expecting the MC to try and reconcile before that, we still have like 10 eps to go until mid story, but by then def Gyeol's bio mother will appear.

I keep thinking she'll want to get him back, so she'll want custody. Maybe if she's married and is the bio mother, she will have better chances. So, maybe that will force MC to want to get together then?

I know most ppl aren't thinking about the parents together, but I am. That's another reason why I think the MC will either delay or get opposition to them coming together. If the parents become a couple, and the kids find out, maybe they will try to downplay their own struggle. Would that be unfair...yes. But it's a family drama with convoluted relationships and the main couple is usually at the focus of all the problems.

One other reason I insist on that possibility, is bc the parents all of them have been selfish. If they at first expect to become a couple, maybe later there's a break up in favor of the children, which will reflect on them learning to put the kids wants first. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it and our Main Couple will face SFL's wrath once she finds out GR is her stepsister and MuJin isn't her half sibling.

There's something to that part of them being happy at the expense of her children. Bc she tried so hard, as she put it, to stay true to her new family, that the price were her children. Idk who's more responsible for that, but it does seem like their 'happy, stable, loving' family is hanging on a very thin line.

And I agree, the parents should all meet, though will they meet as three sets or two couples who will be surprised by their situation? In any case, they will all need to deal with their own actions and the consequences.

I do think that, while MJ's mom behaved badly towards GR, it was ultimately Gyu Rim who made the decision to leave MJ. Of course the whole relationship between mother and son had broken already and that's something else to add.

FL's dad will also need to mature and assume his role in the whole mess.

Idk why so far I haven't thought about the Dad. But, it definitely seems like this part of Gyeol's arc is used to bring MJ and GR closer again, but also to have them deal with what happened 8 years ago. Probably it will take them sometime to work thtough it, while GR also deals with Gyeol's feelings and they start building up again a relationship which includes the little one too.
And only then, I think, our MC will maybe try to get back together...

All of this, obviously will have to happen while GR deals with all the goings of her family...which is huge. LMAO in this drama they make half the population of the city it seems :D

I really like your analysis and take on all the couple, bc those, for me are the couples in this drama. You can add the stable, long married couple too.

But these other 5 pairs are in different states of becoming a couple. If the writers decide to have them all ‘married’ at the end we don’t know, but we’re definitely getting more than main couple and HS- GY.

Also we have , aside from Seo Hyeon and best friend, only controversial couples.
HS-GY bc apparently they dislike each other and want different things from life.

Gigolo and teacher… well beside that night I don’t really understand their desire for the other, but they both need to talk and his job is already a big obstacle to overcome.

The parents, tbh their biggest issue imo is if they can overlook how society would see them bc of their children.

Hes the one who wanted a rich woman I think, though I haber heard him say that again for awhile. Thats why I think they could get too involved before actually knowing everything

She’s a complex character and it’s entertaining to watch her actions. Especially combined with HS. Our FL so far has had the typical role and has not really gotten stronger.
