I only just started fast-forwarding because the pacing of an action-driven drama shouldn't be this slow. If they wanted to slow things down for some reason, then perhaps they should've made the characters more interesting.

I haven't finished watching it yet, but so far, I agree with everything you said. Perhaps I shouldn't have watched it after "Shadow Love," which is one of the best historical c-dramas I've seen this this year.

Reading some of the comments here, what's boring and what isn't is certainly subjective. I wasn't bored by this drama at all. I found it delightful. Yet the drama that is currently boring me to the point where I've begun to fast-forward is one that I'm sure most c-drama fans loved, "Legend of the Female General." Loved Ryan Cheng in "Shadlow Love." He was so cute and charming and had such incredible chemistry with Song Yi. Not so in "Female General," in which he played the seemingly cold, blank-faced or scowling hero that MLs are obliged to play in most historical c-dramas, and I guess his chemistry with the FL won't kick in until the kissing scenes, because there's no sign of it so far.

Lee Yo Won always chooses the most relevant dramas to star in. Or perhaps they choose her for serious demeanor and intelligence.

I hope this great actress is resting and reading scripts for her next project, and that she works again with her Queen Mantis director, who gave her the respect she deserves. So many close-ups that let her face do the work! A brilliant decision on the part of that director.

I like Zhao Lusi and won't hold her responsible for her fans' silliness.

We've seen more than enough examples in real life of the sort of evil, sicko behavior among Christian pastors portrayed in this drama. Church leaders tried to protect them, which merely encouraged other evil sickos among the clergy to think they could do it and get away with it. Imo it's best to publicly admit that that sort of thing goes on and to punish the guilty. Just think of the children, who suffered and, in some cases, whose lives were ruined because of those bastards.

Neither. I'm just disagreeing with you. According to your comment, you want the character to act and react the way you would. Anyway, if, as you said, she simply acquiesced to being overlooked for promotion, would she then have ignored protocol and gone out on her own to solve the case and show how much better she was than the guy who got the promotion?

She isn't a badly written cop; she's simply who she is, which isn't you.

Ha! I see your point. But in addition to being entertaining, life affirming, intellectually stimulating, etc., for me dramas must also reveal the truth about the society in which the characters live, not just what's good, but also what's not so good. It's important for an understanding of the characters' motivations and development. I guess this doesn't apply to Mobius, though.

If the police in c-dramas were portrayed the way they are in k-dramas, the dramas would be censored.

Because your review reads more positive than negative, I have to ask: What rating did you give it?

What part of the "execution" fell flat? The portrayal of the police as being incompetent? Imo, if they'd been competent all of the things you liked about it, i.e. the main thrust of the drama, would become secondary to how the competent police successfully find the copycat killer. Actually, k-dramas wouldn't consistently portray the police as incompetent or shackled by their superiors who are taking bribes to let perps go free, if there wasn't some truth in it.

If she de-glammed this much and gave this excellent a performance in an American production she'd win every best actress award.

He said the same thing about Go Hyun-jung's brilliant performance in Queen Mantis and gave that drama a 1 rating after watching 2-3 episodes.
