Pretty much that yeah. Everyone finds different thing they enjoy about these series and damn wish I was like that with Explore with the note, might try and give it another go some day perhaps when watching list of mine clears out

Heck ye! I was looking forwards too this drama.

Worth it? I would say it is personal opinion. For me? No I skipped some or fast-forwarded just to get basic ideas, but it is not really necessary because how the dramas are produced by different writers / cast usually if anything important has had happened there will be flash back or two too show it , so if you didn't even watch previous adaption you will still be able to know what is happening or at least have basic idea. The ones I skipped or fast-forwarded were:
- The lost tomb / Tomb of the Sea.
The one I just dropped it was actually released this year , but frankly felt as if it went backwards in everything compared to reunion and note was:
- The Lost tomb 2 : Explore with the Note
Ones I watched without skipping anything and I feel were best for me personally were:
- The Lost Tomb 2
- Reunion: the sound of the providence
- The Mystic Nine
- Ultimate Note
- Reunion: The sound of the providence season 2
Even by skipped alot of parts of 2 instalments and dropping one fully it was still alright in following time line and not really being that much confused. Although it is easy to get confused with these series because of inconsistence in them.

That there "I think they did reached Zhang pavilion. Don't know how, but Pang Zi and Wu Xie did reunited again and grow old together. They only met Xiao Ge again after about 8-10 years later I guess?" Is mostly what makes me go damn it! Too many gaps in between and about Tomb of Sea yeah that's pretty much Xiao Ge was gone 10 years behind bronze gate , but then it is like did he go behind gate twice? How did he end up there - and the gap between that time and him being with Pang Zi - really wish all books were adapted in order and not bitten out there and there in pieces for us too guess >.< ! My dream would be all previous dramas were rebooted in proper order and with same cast, but then would be the question what type of cast since I enjoyed all performances from each adaptions tho it varied by how much.
And as well imagine if these books did not suffer so much under censorship it would be an a dream come true :(

Yeah exactly same. It is sad how people forget at times that someone on their screens portraying specific character/s are still at the end human with flaws and mistakes.

Ahhh that I heard about it parts and pieces, but I rarely listen too any rumors around internet about celebrities since majority of the time it is fake nonsense spouted by someone.
But from what I heard / did saw glimpses off those things were proved to be false accusations , but in the end people like us will never know. Hopefully it is indeed fake and doesn't ruin actors life, from what I saw as well he was going to take a break from acting and focus on studies in the end guy is just 23 years old. Also thank you for explaining too me this more in dept , Chinese govt indeed is one scary place lol
Hopefully everything turns out well , it would be sad if his growing talent got wasted.

Was thinking about watching this for a while now but always ended up putting it off, till today. The movie itself is pretty good CGI not the best , but really not the worst either - the story was nice also but as per usual with these series , the ending leaves more questions then answers.

Only if they kept same cast the same way they keep on keeping Liu Sang a bit baffled by now.

This is one cast set up I just can't connect with - even with changing actors in previous series I was fine... but with this one - nothing just seems too click together and that's just depressing :/

Oh wow that's kick ass!

Only watched him at the moment from Reunion , and he was for sure really good there. Can't wait to see him in more dramas in future , maybe not just in ancient times based but more in modern world.
Such an young actor, but already well skilled - wish him best of luck in future.

Would be nice too see him in same drama with Zhu Yi Long they did have really nice chemistry between each other.

O that's nice. I am going to definitely check out Merebear translations after I finish books I received - It is been really long time since I got hooked onto series of anything as I am right now currently with these. Although I can't feel slightly sad because of censorship makes me wonder how much better / different it would be if it followed books 100% without changing things around.

Following this drama series is like following FATE anime series at times it feels so all over god damn place, but still nice. Hopefully at some point all books are translated so far I got 6 arriving from amazon but I do know there are another 2... or was it 3 that are not translated.

I enjoyed this drama alot all actors were doing good job no cringe annoying ones and if they were they didn't last long. I would recommend people watch this for sure.

BUT

In my opinion what the hell was with the ending? It left so many things unsaid just hanging in air what happened with Fatty & Zhang, what about the cloaked character? Did they reach Zhang family place fully? Were any memories regained? Did in the end they met Wu Xie again? And list goes on, this clearly needs season 2, but sadly it is not going to happen most likely.
So in conclusion drama was really good till it reached near the end and then it dropped the ball badly especially with no continuing episodes. Too many questions left unanswered.
This is pretty much same vibes as Fate series.

Indeed he was amazing as Wu Xie , I think if looking as all dramas in Grave robbers and not in specific good points in each the cast for Reunion was my favorite from them all. Really wish at some time in future "Iron Triangle" appears in some other drama together, those 3 guys had amazing chemistry.

Also fk'ing hell I hate censorship!

I swear these series at times are so all over god damn place it is hard to keep up with what the heck is happening constant actor changing does not help either.
Can't wait till books arrive that I ordered
