This drama really does a great job of showing the struggles of women in those eras. They actually showed why women were so keen on being virtuous and traditionally educated in those times, as their survival in society was tied to their in-laws .This is the only drama where they actually showed why women need to become self-sufficient and independent.In most of the periodical dramas, the fls become self independent for the sake of justifying the "strong independent woman" tag. Most of them are already the daughters or wives of some minister,general or rich individual. Their motivation towards becoming self independent doesn't really hit that hard.But this drama actually has a strong motivation for that, not just a side quest like every other dramas.Thats why I like this drama very much They showed real life situations and struggles of that era
