They are just riding on Xu Kai popularity and now they aren't getting that one even doing active promotions lately. Even they put posters outside halls of many award shows and functions.

Typical Chinese and Korean dramas. Virgin ML is their legacy at this point. Useless scripts. They are selling false fantasies to young women.

Even Xu Kai's Fire Investigation has already nearing 500k reservations without any promotions or possible tease of releasing. Even Tales of Tiandu has over 180k reservations.
I really think Xu Kai fans aren't interested in this one.

Recently released projects by Youku didn't meet their expectations so they released TEF first.
Legend of Rosy clouds(A+ rating on S budget)
Zhan Zhao Adventures(Barely entered S rating on budget of S+)
Light to the Night(A+ rating at S budget)
Ashes of Crown( Explosive start and then went downhill)

Youku's last clear hit drama was Veil Of Shadows.

The Eternal Fragrance initial numbers are average(they might get better just like Love Has Fireworks)

So, the question is why they don't want to try this project? Is it really that bad to be premiered or has any other issues?
Youku already thinks it will be a flop too. But it's not that big budget drama to be worried about as they are already releasing S+ budget dramas with mediocre results.

Looks like this one will be released earlier than rest of Li Hongyi's dramas even though it was last one to be filmed.

Looks like his new agency has paid of his remaining debts. He will start filming new dramas from July onwards.

Yeah Chen Duling one. As it was her first first billing drama, they wanted to cast an actor with relatively low popularity than Chen Duling and has good acting.
He refused after quite considerations. Don't know maybe he wanted to do a simple role not a darker role.

I still can't believe, he choose Les Bless over The Glory. He was the first choice for The Glory drama but he choose Less Bless over it.
