Both of them are toxic. BJ is a manipulator who withholds information and pressures others. LJ is proud and naive; he knows BJ isn't right for him and that he should stay away, yet he doesn't. It’s a constant back and forth precisely because their relationship is toxic. They are walking red flags.
Look..everyone saying what LJ did was right..yeah we understand that already but that doesn't mean we have to…
Theirs is a toxic relationship, it always has been. On one side, you have BJ, who manipulates and withholds information about himself and the favors he does; on the other, there’s LJ, whose pride matters more than anything else. Do you want a toxic story? A story full of red flags? This is it! They aren't perfect together, and just as they learned to trust one another, they need to learn to communicate better. Relationships like theirs rarely work out on the first try. Neither of them is perfect. But precisely because their story isn't meant to be perfect, maybe on the hundredth attempt they’ll figure out how to make it work.
Of course BJ can help him, and it’s sweet of him to offer. But have you forgotten what LJ is like? Ever since…
I think everyone in the family would feel uncomfortable if LJ had accepted; they don't strike me as the kind of family that accepts things like that. Jet is clearly the type to accept gifts and favors. It’s not as if BJ and LJ are married, which would make it more acceptable from that standpoint, since they’d actually be part of the same family. They’ve only just gotten back together after years apart. Each character has a different personality; LJ is proud and resourceful, he isn't the type of person to accept such things, and BJ knows it.
I AM SOOOOO ANNOYED WITH LITTLE JANE RN.he is so damn dumb and annoying. Big Jane help his little ungratefull…
Of course BJ can help him, and it’s sweet of him to offer. But have you forgotten what LJ is like? Ever since university, he’s said that he takes pride in achieving his goals on his own and doesn't want to use shortcuts to make his dreams come true. He isn't the kind of person you can just gift a house or a car to simply because you love him. He said it himself: his favorite moment with BJ wasn't the date at the restaurant, but when BJ came to meet his family and help out at the shop. LJ isn't the type to accept a large sum of money; he’s the kind of person who would work his whole life to pay off a debt.
As for Jet, I agree! His parents need to keep an eye on him 24/7.
Finally, someone said it, thank you! I agree with you!!!I like that he stays true to his character, especially…
Exactly, I agree. People like LJ aren't comfortable with their partner paying for everything while they get spoiled. Right from the first episode, LJ told us he takes pride in doing things on his own and achieving his goals without any tricks or shortcuts. That is exactly the quality that made BJ fall in love with him. I agree that LJ was cold, but he only asked for a little space and time. I would ask for the same thing if my family were in debt and we didn't know how to get out of it.
They need to find a way to adapt to each other. BJ shouldn't be spending money on him like that, without considering the ego, the environment, the manner, and the values with which LJ was raised. And LJ needs to realize that being with him doesn't mean he has to feel bad just because BJ "is rich and can afford it." There are things BJ can pay for or help with, and other things LJ can do and achieve on his own.
I think some people are forgetting what Little Jane is like, his moral compass and the number one thing we discovered about him: he doesn't ask for favors for himself or to achieve his dreams; he works hard to reach his goals on his own, and he takes pride in that. Big Jane actually fell in love with him at university for that very reason! BECAUSE HE DOESN'T ASK FOR FAVORS! HE ISN'T SELFISH! They finally trust each other, and they both need to realize that making their relationship last will take TIME and a lot of TRIAL and error. Relationships as unbalanced as theirs are never perfect from day one; they are the hardest kind, "the toxic ones", the ones where the couple breaks up and gets back together a thousand times. Relationships are never perfect.
oh, god I am so angry right now:(((( LIl Jane is the real Red Flag here and poor Big Jane is color blind for sure:(((…
How can you expect a lasting relationship to exist between them if Little Jane asks for favors or relies too heavily on Big Jane? At the start of the story, their issue was trust; Little Jane couldn't trust him because Big Jane was doing favors for people at university. Now that they trust each other, they need to build something together. It doesn't seem unreasonable for Little Jane to want a break. His family is struggling, and he wants to help them. Big Jane fell for him at university precisely because Little Jane didn't ask for favors for himself or to achieve his own dreams. Relying too much on Big Jane wouldn't make sense given Little Jane's personality and the qualities that made them fall in love with each other in the first place. They need to find their balance at that takes time, effort, trial and error, if they are ment to be together they will make it work.
yeah, Little Jane doesn't suit Big Jane. After 5 years of cuddling Big Jane's ghost on that bed in that apartment,…
I think Little Jane is just trying to stay true to his moral code. Big Jane fell for him precisely because he doesn't ask for favors for himself and doesn't use tricks to achieve his dreams; it wouldn't make sense for Little Jane to keep asking Big Jane for help and become 100% dependent on him. Little Jane isn't trying to change him, but rather trying not to change himself while figuring out how to make a stable relationship with him work—since, right now, their roles in this relationship are too unbalanced for him.
Little Jane, what's your problem??? Aren't you the one who accepted him anyway and begged to get together??? You…
It wouldn't make much sense for him to accept Big Jane's offer. The main reason Big Jane fell for Little Jane is precisely that he doesn't ask for favors for himself, he acts to help others and refuses to seek favors even to achieve his own dreams. That is exactly why Big Jane admires and loves him. It’s not that Little Jane doesn't want to be with him, he does love him, but the relationship would become too unbalanced if he continued to depend on Big Jane, and that would compromise Little Jane's moral code.
Relationships should always be balanced; one person cannot give or do too much, or else the roles become unbalanced and the relationship falls apart it would no longer be "an equal relationship".. Little Jane understands this, and i admire the fact that he doesn't give in to the temptation of letting Big Jane "take care of him." It’s not that he doesn't love him, but rather that he knows he would end up taking too much and becoming overly dependent, which would throw their relationship off balance. They work well together because he manages to maintain this equilibrium; that is precisely why Big Jane was so interested in him from the very start. Little Jane doesn't ask for things for himself and refuses to use tricks to achieve his dreams ... that is what makes him so special in Big Jane's eyes. Little Jane is fully aware of his situation and he is truly an admirable character; very few people in real life possess such a strong moral code. Despite all the trouble his family causes him and all the difficulties in his relationship, he always remains morally right. I admire him so much.
I love the fact that Big Jane is using the language of flowers!🌸 In the last episode, he left him a letter with a dead lilac. In this episode, he is "Mr. Lilac," and we see a painting of lilacs in his office. Lilac = first love💜
I don't trust Dan. I don't really trust any of Little Jane's friends. His brother seems a little fishy, too. I…
I totally agree. Dan is too friendly, too clingy, and also pushy. He strikes me as a "better version" of Big Jane, but he gives me a weird vibe.. it’s as if we’re seeing him through a lens that makes him seem intriguing, like "the perfect guy who’s always there for you." And then there’s Put (Little Jane’s best friend) how can anyone trust him? He knows too much, always shows up at just the right moment, gets angry without ever explaining why, and clearly knows more than he lets on.

No, they shouldn't have waited until November; fans would have been angry if they’d made the switch that late. Spending nearly a year waiting for announcements about a series they won't even be part of makes no sense. That would have been a mean move from gmmtv; they did the right thing by announcing it now. We had said a while back that a "mafia-themed" series would have been a better fit for them. In any case, The Spooky Love Tale is, technically at least a 2026 series; if the company falls behind on production, that’s their problem. Even if the series were to come out next year, MarkOhm and MondRyu have other projects lined up for this year.
I don't know if I'm out of the loop but I find it so odd that gmmtv are announcing these series outside their…
The spooky love tale is a 2026 serie, so it needs to come out this year. gmmtv had delayed Love you teacher (because Perth was filming Scarlet Heart, that also needs to come out this year) so The spooky love needs to be out for the 2026 line up, and I guess that to make up for it and to give PerthSanta a more suitable role for them they now have this serie.
I don't think this is an average series at all; you rarely see shows that address mental health themes while also centering the serie on an established couple. I believe this series was perfect for them. Just as you said, they are incredible actors, and only actors of their caliber could have brought the characters of Pobmek and Solar/Sun to life; that’s not something just anyone could pull off. Beneath its vibrant colors and music, the series hides a story of enduring love facing a new, difficult stage of life; yet, the couple manages to hold strong together, confronting and overcoming past traumas while always choosing to stand by each other's side. The situations the characters are involved in are the kind of real life choices that put relationships to the test/challenges that only few would survive. I believe the series stands as a testament to just how much a solid, lasting love can overcome.
and i still don't trust Dan🧐
