We are two thirds through the drama and despite all the flaws, inconsistencies and poor editing I still find this cdrama very watchable mainly because they didn't dumb down the heroine and portray her as needing a man to save her all the time. In fact she even saved MJH from death and I particularly enjoyed watching her fighting skills which are very well executed and rare in cdramas where heroines are constantly portrayed as damsels in distress even when the books stress that they are expert fighters.
Yes she did go back to make sure Jinghe is alright. But she had to leave to help Yue Qin bc he can't show up in…
You are so right about the bad edits as I watched everything and yet now I find out from you that ML is the saintess bride which is new to me. The end of ep.20 emphasized that MJH had lost all power because the emperor was in a coma and handed all power to CP so MJH did not want to risk ML's life, especially as she was already weakened by the momai poison and she had less than a year to live and needed to be treated soon. Now the cp's in prison and the risk was gone but all of a sudden ML became the saintess bride which was not even accentuated before.
In ep.23 ML woke up in YQ's carriage and rushed back on horseback by herself and so did she actually get to MRJH's bedside or was MRJH only hallucinating that he saw her as the maid informed him that no one came? I find this confusing as the next scene is of her and YQ all dressed up to return to Xiyan. If she really was by his bedside it's disappointing that she did not clear up past deeds and misunderstandings between them so it feels more like a hallucination to me.
So, I am annoyed. You all know I am. Now, did we REALLY need to go that far and have ML go with YQ. Dude knows…
You mean those soldiers going up the steps were real living beings? I thought they were the departed souls of the slaughtered Weibei army at Qingzhou since they did not even salute the prince as he walked down the steps as required by imperial protocol.
Lol it's a reason we got this sweet, mild, side of MRJ. I'm really glad they established it this early. Because…
So what happened in that scene as I don't quite get it? Did he pee on himself as all I can see is some wetness but didn't they just come out of the lake which could explain the wet patch?
Spending the night together is putting it kindly. He's using her to satisfy his lust as she was disposable and…
I read the first chapter of the novel and the rape was described very plainly and after that I did not want to continue reading as I cannot tolerate abusive treatment of women by men. To be fair I did ask others here who have read the novel whether they would recommend reading it and they all said no. The previous poster obviously wants a more romantic version and the drama will deliver that later on, but on the night in question that you asked about he was already setting her up to be killed soon so do you think he would have any tender feelings for her at that point?
No actuallg im not sure but i think the ML will find the antidote for her and cure her
Happy Ending. In the book ML, in anger and despair with her leaving him, kept whipping her supposed burial site based on the comments here and in the drama trailer you see him doing the same. Ofcourse the drama made some changes and have her really lying under a layer of flowers.
Thank-you so much! The first 3 episodes threw so much details at me at such a rapid pace that I had information overload and utter confusion. So how did she figure out he's not really her enemy?
Ii's all jumbled in my mind as well, in which episode did the FL try to kill ML before she started training as an assasin? I also don't understand how her trying to kill ML would expose the Crown Prince as the real culprit for the massacre.
