For some reason the character seem bland to me and his eyes looks insincere or should I say no range in his expressions? He's unable to convince me he likes Nail.
The second couple? Funny lots. Chao doesn't know what a one night stand is? Love bombing is just the worst. I think I will drop this.

I think he allowed Charlie to join the team because he sees his potential and temperament which is suited to be a very good racer, as compared to Dean because of the advice Alan gave to Dean. Alan trained Babe, so I trust his judgement on this.
Charlie has trained for a very short time, yet had that kind of result but Dean has been there longer but won by a margin. Do you see what I mean?
