Firstly, from my understanding, it's because it's considered rude to ask about it as this relates to actual gay people. Normally, we shouldn't even concern ourselves what the position and what people chose to do in the bedroom.. We don't ask a straight couple who tops or bottom, so why do we care about it when it comes to gay whether fictional characters or real people? Secondly, older BLs were known to perpetrate harmful gay stereotypes whereby they attach the top and bottom position to a character's personality. Tall, muscular, dominant, huge and assertive characters were casted as Tops while petite or feminine characters were casted as bottoms and they were portrayed as weak, needing the Tops to always protect them. This in turn created a very bad fixed thinking for a lot of viewers who came to know about gay through BLs. They believed this is how it is and most would rudely and demeaningly refer to guys who bottoms as girlish almost as if they are trying to fit the gay relationships into the heteronormative roles. Some BLs will blatantly use the husband and wife to refer to Tops and Bottoms. Some viewers carry this mindset into reality and shamelessly asks actual gay people. Although, I'm not gay, even I know that you can't tell how a person is in bed just from looking at their personality or appearance. These stereotypes needs to go and thankfully newer BLs are doing much better but we still need to educate younger BLs audience about these things. I think it's healthier to focus on the show itself rather than who do what. Some even gets upset if a dominant guy is casted as a bottom and a cutesy one as a top. Because they expect the Top to be more masculine/macho/stoic and due to this, they hate the story.

I like the diversity and sometimes, realistic and relatable storylines. It's impressive how much effort they're putting into making these different types of BLs. Even if a show ends up not being successful and have a low rating, I appreciate the effort they put into making these different stories. Straight romances from different countries have all kinds of stories and I'm happy Thailand is approaching BLs the same way.

Me too. I was embarrassed the whole time but unlike me, I love the embarrassment.. I kept asking myself but I'm afraid, no answer up to this day.😂 I loved that pairing though. I especially loved it when they kissed because it looked so natural.
