I think it's because the show is titled "only friends ", which means, the show revolves around their sex life and romantic interests. If the show was about "slice of life" or maybe a pure love story of 2 people, they would have gone deeper than that. This story is about a queer group of friends and how they navigate betrayal, love, sex, alcohol, school and drugs. Infact, this show is about young adults' lives in their early twenties in the university.

He has been a lead in a series. It's a high school series with Frank. I think it's called "Cos you're my boy" or something.

I get annoyed too. You need to see how people vilify Ray's friends all over twitter and defend Ray over everything.. They literally blame everyone except Ray for Ray's behaviour.
They say Ray's friends are shitty bla bla bla. Only Sand care for Ray bla bla bla.
Honestly beginning to piss me off because I have seen Mew genuinely care for Ray and the only time Mew actually needed a friend to be there for him, Ray still made him question himself and somehow saddled himself into dating Mew.
Throughout the whole series, I haven't seen Ray do a single thing for his friends aside being a drunk. I haven't seen him take any responsibility for his loser behaviour aside from crying wolf. It's always about Ray and Ray. No other person has problems. Only Ray has the world's problems.
Honestly, I love the actor but not the character. I would never remain friends with someone like this.

To me, at this point, there's really no need for some back story for Boston to explain his behaviour. The others already do and that's enough. The reason being that in real life, there are unfortunately people that are genuinely wicked, evil, psychopathic and sociopathic.
I already knew from the earliest episodes that Boston is either sociopathic or psychopathic.
I just feel the need for a backstory to sympathise with a character who is 100% an as*hole is unnecessary. Because it's time for people to grow up and stop using childhood problems and parenting issues as excuses for their toxic behaviour towards others and take responsibility for their actions. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people with shitty upbringing but still the sweetest humans.
It's exhausting to see so many excuses being made for grown adults who cannot pick up their own trash but waits for others to do it.

I find it annoying that this overused plot of unresolved issues and Childhood complexes is still holding water in 2023 dramas. People act shitty and pathetic andbexpect others to just understand and accomodate them. Why? Because they have daddy and mummy issues. They don't wanna take responsibility for their actions and they are supposed to be adults. Adulthood starts from taking responsibility and owing up to sh*t.

I don't think your analysis is right. This isn't about Boston wanting multiple partners. This is about Boston not wanting to commit to anyone because he might leave the country to travel abroad.
Boston never implied that he preferred a polygamous relationship.
He just doesn't date anyone. He just sees different people for sexual gratification.. The context is different for both.
"I can love more than one person at a time" is different from "I do not want a relationship or any emotional attachment to anyone".
I believe polygamy is different from what Boston is doing.

Exactly. For me, Mew deserves the sympathy and he is a decent person who genuinely hasn't tried to hurt anyone in this shown if he wasnt pushed and even then, he stopped himself in time. And guess what, I never even liked the actor and I'm not a fan either but i like to think of things logically.

My favourites are in this show but even then, i will trash them when they "F" up.

It's obvious Mew will never use Ray, not even for revenge. Mew is just seeking solace in Ray right now as a constant fixture in his life, who has always loved him. Why? Because Mew is hurt, betrayed, lost and confused. This is anything that could happen to anyone but for some reason, people will still choose to believe that Mew is using Ray. I guess it's always easy to blame Mew for whatever happens to Ray.
