Well, I think Thanwa suspects but he didn't accept to be with Max out of misunderstanding. He accepted because Jane begged him to help.

Peak could have also told Thanwa every single thing. When Thanwa asked him, he said he couldn't say because of Jane but here is Jane trying to urge him to do something.
