And what exactly was she running from and what ritual did she do before she died that caused that spirit to come for her? Why did the spirit kill her dad too? Was it cause he was looking for a way to get rid of it? Did her grandmother get killed because she read the book and knew of its origin?
Her dad knew what this spirit is and that the shaman had to get entangled in it. The spirit is said to be juvenile but from the looks of it I gues s it’s the shaman instead. Since in the book hair accessory she was in it. Also in the flashback for professor Yeom we saw how his mom was before she took her son away. There was something off putting about how his gradmowas watching him and how his mom watched her. Especially in the hospital scene as well.
Going back to episode 1 the flashback she had of her dad and him reading her folklore stories….I wonder if there was something in particular he may have mentioned to her or a story he told her she’s just forgotten and could be a key to this spirit fiasco she has. Cause I’m a lot of other occult mystery shows I’ve watched like this usually that seems to be the case especially when the parent or whoever it is knows that something will happen down the line to cause the child being entangled in it. It doesn’t look like it was after his mom. To me at least it looked like its target was the dad. Cause if it was after the mom it would’ve spoken to her. But we only saw its figure during the thunderstorm and then the son running. So it looks like its target was solely the sim. Plus if it was the mom, it would’ve come after her after it killed her son

As someone who really enjoys superstition and is superstitious plus has a a lot of folklore passed down it’s really intriguing. The one part that was unnerving is when he cautioned her about the door and they left it open 😭😅. Also what baffled me was why did that long haired spirit come after her dad. And why did he open the door? If he’s someone who believes in folklore it’s only plausible to never open a door especially when it looked like he was running from something and there was never any confirmation of who exactly is on the other end
