So the masked guy appeared at the end to steal the stone that separates the living and the dead by creating a boundary. By stealing that stone, he breaks said boundary and jumps through the gate into a different era. Masked guy isn’t from 1938. He was already in 2020 but after stealing the stone he goes into hiding g in another era. It’s important to note that those gates he jumped through sorta act like a “portal” it can lead to hell and it can lead to some other place. Now the lady we were introduced to, I think you mean the one inlove with ShinJu(Yeon’s right hand man/best friend from s1) Well she already existed back then too. Except from the looks of it she and Rang hadn’t met as yet(plus she isn’t in love with him). In season 1 she’s loyal to Rang cause he saved her from the zoo that had captured her and was torturing her. That’s also another point that’s explained in the side story Tale of the Nine tailed: Untold Story. It goes a bit into the dynamic between her and Rang and explains their relationship better. So her appearance in 1938 is prior to her getting captured and being saved by Rang where the “master & subject” bond gets formed. Cause remember a fox always pays back it’s debt whether it’s good or bad. Hope this clears it up a bit.

Yup! I suspected that when their back story was explained. Also explained why she willing left her job(although apparently it was also after an incident involving her son). And why the entire family walks all over her. Plus why when her husband has a fit like a toddler she stays quiet. You’ll be surprised to find out people still hold on to high school/college days cause that’s when they peaked. And can never move on from that

Yeon Do and Tae Kyung better be careful Se Jin doesn’t find out that they’re faking a relationship and Real isn’t his. Plus Yeon Do can no longer leave after 3 months. Any conversation the want to have regarding their “relationship” better be done over text(let those messages be set to disappearing mode) or just not bring it up at all. They almost got caught with the family. But with that witch she’ll be on a mad hunt

Yeah also I think she’s in her head a lot about how she got with him and him leaving his gf for her. So she feels she has no right to speak on that since she destroyed a relationship.

InHo is the type of man who wants his cake whole but eats it also. Cheating on his wife, working together with his mistress, hiding a love child yet still want his family and everything around him to remain the same. Hopefully he gets a taste of was destitute feels like and becomes abandoned. Everything that he’s working hard to “keep” I want to see it crumble before his eyes and have him humiliated in a way that he’ll want the ground to swallow him whole. Also Jung Sook is a bit naive. Your husband and his ex look a little close for comfort. He hid the fact that they were work colleagues and she has a child. She found a receipt for a jewelry he’d never even given her. An expensive one at that also and in all the years of marriage he never gave her a gift of that price yet believed that he was gonna give her a bracelet for her birthday? She wants to believe that he’s a good husband but I personally thing deep down she has an inkling that something’s up and wants to play dumb and not see.

Ep1 blew my mind. All the waiting for the Lee brothers dynamic finally paid off. Typical Yeon and Rang to greet each other with a fight😅
Also for this who were confused ep1 the first half was sort of an explanation to s1 ending. Plus the shifting from 2020( where it left off) to 1938 (where he is now) gave it that too. But since the gate is closed I’m gonna assume that no more shifting between eras will happen so it’ll make more sense

Yeon killed it by throwing himself and Imoogi(snake) into hell. But since he’s back in time maybe imoogi might become a problem again. but I highly doubt it since the barrier separating life and death was broken. Imoogi only cared for Ah Uem or Ji Ah(reincarnated version) so I highly doubt it’s gonna be Imoogi at play this time around. Plus remember Imoogi is tied to Ji Ah it only reincarnates when she she’s reincarnated. And judging from how season 1 was, Yeon never found her reincarnated selves in the past until…well when season 1 took place

if it’s confusing it’s cause it went back to season 1 ending to explain how he got in that era he’s in currently. it also basically gave a summarized version of their back story. plus with the fact that it’s switching from past (2020) to present (1938 the era he’s in currently making that his “present”) would also make it that way

ikr 😅 s2 ep1 was just so damn good. can’t wait to see how the rest of the episodes play out

you do know this is a fantasy drama right? so obviously reality is gonna be a bit out of touch in certain scenes

100/10 you’re gonna love it. heads up the first few scenes are kinda an explanation to how season 1 left off. so if you’re confused at first just know that. cause I saw a few people say they were confused by the first half

the first few scenes were an explanation to season 1 ending(I think it’s for those who may not have watch season 1). Cause remember in s1 the last episode when Yeon was reincarnated and we saw him as a gumiho even though he came back as a human. It explains how he shifted from human back to his original state. And then went on to explain what happened for him to end up back in time to the Japanese invasion in Joseon

After this drama ends I swear I’m never gonna watch a youth drama that’s set between the past and present and has you guessing who’s alive, who dead and who ended up with who. It just too much😭😭
