Yeah, I'm sure with time MX will learn to trust BFY with certain matters more and to be more honest with her.
As for the first love thing, her and WJG were doomed either way. She used their love tokens to save BFY from having to marry the Wu son which got her a conferred titled and prevented the marriage. Even if she had been honest with BFY before that happened, there would be no way to stop BFY and WJG's marriage because of the Wu family (WY is there to make sure they actually get married otherwise the Wu family will start pursing BFY again.)

I understand that most people watching this show are going to be annoyed with how MX has not been upfront with BFY despite all the chances she's had. That's understandable.
My comment was not to say that ppl are blaming her wrongly but more so that in a way I can understand what she might be thinking. Personally, I would not have done the same thing, I would have explain the situation to BFY after I saved her from having to marry that one Wu son or after the part where BFY helps MX when she was planning on running away with WJG.
Honestly between the three of them I blame WJG the most as he is the least...sheltered? (Actually I think the correct word I am looking for is naïve.) So he should be wiser and know the reality of the situation and not give MX false hope. Then I blame MX because she should be honest with BFY at the very least. (Obviously I don't blame BFY as she is blameless in this situation).
Was the Wu boy that BFY was supposed to marry WY? Isn't WY illegitimate? Or does WY have other legitimate brothers? Also, why is the Wu family so obsessed with having BFY? I'm forgetting this part of the novel/some details and the show isn't super clear on this. Unless I missed something?

She finds out. Idk how they are going to go about it in the drama but it's most likely going to occur sometime around BFY and WJG's wedding.
It's honestly all really unfortunate. Also, I'm pretty sure towards the end of the episode MX tries to break things off sort of. She says something about wanting to trust him but her fate is bad and how she won't ruin his big thing?big day? something like that. I think MX will do the right thing in the end. This is her first love and she did meet him first so it's probably hard for her to let go. Obviously she will though because she and WJG are not fated to be together. I personally don't hate MX for this because of a couple of different things...things I'm not exactly sure will still happen in the show or not..
I Don think they will hate or turn against each other. but unfortunately w wjg in the pictures the sisters will…
I made my comment based on parts of the novel that I have read, trailers and mvs I've watched, etc. I agree that they will be physically separated which has already been hinted at since the beginning of the show. But they will not be separated in their hearts nor will they turn on each other like some people are speculating. It's not that kind of show. And eventually, BFY will find out. She most likely finds out before the wedding or sometime during which is why in clips of her wedding she looks extremely sad. This whole WJG situation is not going to be enough to make them stop loving each other, especially after everything they have already been through.
Also...although I don't like him...BPK's death was so sad....He's so stupid. He should have known he was not bright enough to survive on his own. If he had stayed, he would probably still be alive...however, BFY and MX would be suffering because of the spending habits that he picked up from his dad and that his mom enabled.
I agree with a lot of what everyone wrote here except for one thing: that this is the end of BFY and Mo xi's relationship. It's not. It's one of the unfortunately many obstacles they have to face. BFY and Mo xi will always love each other. They might not always do the right thing but that's not going to change. This isn't the type of story where you eventually see two sisters turn on each other. Ngl though Mo xi does do a lot of things wrong she also does some things right and her actions, at least to me, are not super out of character.
As for telling FY the situation thing, yes she should have told her. I feel like maybe she didn't in earlier episodes because she got the feeling that BFY likes him even though she said she didn't. As for why she's not telling her right now...not really sure where her headspace is. On the one hand, telling BFY changes nothing so it's pointless but from Mo xi's actions, you can tell she does not necessarily wholeheartedly believe that because if she did she would not be secretly meeting with him, etc.
In a way, I would have preferred MX's crush on WJG to be unrequited, and instead, he always regarded her as a…
This is a great analogy! WJG is exactly like Qi Heng and CWD is very similar to GTY. I also wish Mo xi would have been honest with FY from the beginning. MX also seems a bit naïve to me because unlike Minglan she is unable to recognize the type of character/person WJG is whereas Minglan, after being disappointed once, recognized and did not make the same mistake.
They haven't been following it extremely closely but close. This is the part I am kind of confused about. I've watched a lot of bts and mvs and I've seen posters which have confused me. I think they might make XW and Mo xi think he is dead and then later on he shows up and they get back together or something because they have kind of been hinting at that. Also, the producer said he would make this show happier than the novel. So honestly, idk.
wish they play more on her intelligence. is OK she is not physically as capable as moxi who is more sporty. see…
I like BFY too. I know my comment comes across as me hating her but I honestly don't. I really like her and Mo xi's relationship but as you also stated her sense of righteousness doesn't fit with their current situation. I think they will probably/most likely give her the necessary character development that she needs. Also, I agree, I hope with time she does not need to be rescued all the time. However, I don't want the writer to change her into an unkind person to show character growth. It's great that she wants to do the right thing and remain true to her values, but there is a time and a place for certain actions.
Side note, I need them to make BFY less....pathetic? I feel like that's not the right word but idk what else to use. Crying will not always solve your problems. I get that she is a noble woman and was sheltered but after everything that has happened to them, I need to see her eventually develop a backbone.
In the novel it ends with Mo xi being a well known/wealthy courtesan with XW by her side, BFY and WJG married raising Mo xi and WJG's child, and BFY expecting a baby girl.
I'm actually excited about this...I kind of like the idea of him and mo xi.
I completely agree with this! You can tell that WY and CWD actually have some feeling for her and it's not out of gratitude but with WJG, although I like him, I can't tell if it's genuine or not. Also, he seems like the type of pick what is socially acceptable and will help him excel career wise than what his heart tells him. WY seems like that too but I don't feel as bad about it because of how WY was presented to us/how we were introduced to the character.
I also kind of feel like WJG might end up sort of leading Mo xi on...

Sigh...first love is always hard.
