People need to stop bashing LX because the truth of the matter is, you all would feel the same in her situation as well. She is not attracted to him yet. If y'all were in a situation where you were forced to marry someone you didn't like, you would also feel as she does. Y'all need to put aside your lust for a second and consider that before constantly acting like she's in the wrong for being mad about this whole situation. She is not. And while we are at it, when are y'all going to let go of this whole green flag/red flag thing? So far, this show has given us multiple situations that show how different people react when put in difficult positions, and that humans are inherently flawed, whether good or bad. For example, the Shen family falls from grace vs the Zheng, Lin, or even Fu Rong's situation. Or how LX acted as a maid in the household versus her friend, who ended up being sold out of the house. There's more, but I'm not going to list them all.

This show isn't your typical romance series so they are not going to have her move on so easily from something that would take a normal person a long time to get over. Especially when it was established in the show that his feelings were/are currently one-sided.

The novel is completely different from the show. The second male lead in the show was the female lead's husband from their past life. They didn't end up getting married because he had to marry someone of higher status and could only make her a concubine, which she wasn't willing to do. Then the male lead comes; her family gets into some issues for some stuff (forgot the details), and she basically gets blackmailed by him into being his concubine. It's so much darker than anything going on in this show. The male lead in the novel is very terrible, with hardly any redeeming qualities. I'm forgetting some details, but yeah. I'm also forgetting if his last name was Han or not lol.

The fact that her shameless side piece threw her under the bus. I knew he was no good when he never thought to teach her to read. "She seduced me!" Hmm. At least our female lead no longer has to sit out in the cold.

In the book, she didn't really have a choice. I've only seen episode one, so I'm not sure what the answer will be in the show. Side note: y'all in the comments need to stop attacking this commenter. They asked a very simple question, which anyone who hasn't seen the show or read the book would be wondering as well.

The book is extremely toxic but from the trailers, the female lead character seems to have more of a backbone than she did in the novel. I'm very happy about this change tbh.

I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but the trailers have yet again pissed me off. Who tf is the daddy feeling like? Where the fuck were you when her fuck ass grandma tried to kill her?!?!? Like wtf is going on. I'm actually so pissed.
