What are the chances that Queen did it and not her father..Queen must have done it in fit of anger/impulsiveness…
What about the series so far have shown that she'd willingly put her son into a situation like that?
She's a flawed character but her son is literally the sole reason she's doing any of what she's doing. The only reason she's in the position of power she is. Why would she risk him?
I think Queen Mother is not bad. She is just insecure and is worried about her child, she is being brain washed…
I think she will be redeemed by the end of the drama. Or atleast be a more sympathetic character. She's a flawed person, but a lot of people are ignoring some context clues we have about her. She's been raised up to be a queen since childhood. Thats an insane amount of pressure. Having your emotions and feelings repressed for so long can seriously mess you up. She obviously cares about her son, but also is projecting her own pride and insecurities onto him. Mirroring the pressure she probably felt growing up. Her entire indentity is being queen. That is not a healthy way to live
The episode 4 epilogue scene is so cute. I'm not super invested in romance but the music kicking in and the reveal of the shirt got me🥲 Ian is down bad fr
queen dowager seems to have the audience divided.1. she's good2. she's bad3. she is only protecting her son4.…
She's been raised to be the "perfect queen", its her entire personality so naturally she's IMMENSELY prideful to a fault. I've said since the start I think she'll be a more sympathetic character by the end of the drama. We saw a glimpse of her softer side in episode 4. Just gotta get rid of her dad lol
99.99% sure the two previous Kings were killed by the current's Queen's father and that the Queen knows it. Why?…
If you're only here for fanservice I don't think you're the best person to talk about how "one note" any characters are lmao. We don't even know if the queen knows everything her father has done. Its been 4 episodes. Learn to read between the lines a bit. Shocker I know but "bad" people can still be complicated
Yeah i dont think i will be able to finish this... The FML is just not it, which is a shame because i really like…
I think its pretty clear that she's not meant to come off as just a "strong intelligent female character". That seems like you either being intentionally obtuse or just sticking to your own personal agenda.. Like what "old tropes" are you hung up on man? She's clearly shown to be a flawed character. We've had hints of why she acts the way she does, but like in most series.. New or old. We will get more information as the drama unfolds.
In order for Yi An to become king the current young king would have to either abdicate or die. It will be extremely…
Ok, then in that case I'm not sure🤔 the king being someone elses son doesn't make sense, like you mentioned. Since the queen ruminated on her son being just like the last king
Maybe this is me coping bc of how much i love Seungyeon but i don't think the queen dowager is all bad. She's clearly been shaped and pressured from birth to be queen. Hence why she basically defines herself purely based on that. Obviously it doesn't excuse how she's treated her son, but I'm glad we saw a bit of a softer touch from her in ep 4. I agree with everyone saying Jin-Mu is behind most things lol

I think the issue is that the current king may have been conceived before marriage. Idk what the rules of that would be exactly but it MIGHT mean that he would not be considered legitimate? And thus the throne would pass to Ian
Getting more and more interested in how the drama would end. I don't think the boy king would be happy keeping the throne but I also can't see Ian enjoying being king. Much less Hui Ju being queen.. Would be pretty ironic if at the end they just abolish the whole monarchy after all lol
