Is the drama rating 8.0 because all the 2nd couple skippers (like me) have not rated it yet? I know I would not rate it as high as 8 considering I'm only watching half of all the episodes...
So just to clarify: When FL overheard ML telling a friend he didn't show up for the date because he didn't like shallow brains, he was referring to shallow [pig] brains as a dish at a restaurant and not to people with shallow brains?
BUT that still means that he did deliberately stand her up, even if that comment was not an insult of her.
Another scene cut, apparently Youku has taken the initiative to have multiple scenes cut that connect the dots…
On topic of cut scenes, how did FL and SFL end up getting dumplings that the ML left behind on the table in the cafeteria after his friend teased him? Were they the same dumplings he bought for her or what?
It is watchable, but it doesn't live up to the premise. We're only to episode 8 and the fantasy element seems to already be forgotten and the ML is now just any typical jealous guy in a contemporary drama. He has adapted way too quickly to modern times and is even using English casually in conversation. They really skipped over all the fish-out-of-water comedy and just had him become a fully modern person in 2 episodes time.
He asked her in Episode 14 and she said her parents very conservative and don't like blogging positively and when…
Ok, so isn’t her scheme to make him fall for an airhead blown? Now he knows she must be smart/educated if her family believes she works at a university.
ML knows that FL has lied to her parents about what her job is, but has he ever actually asked her what her parents think she does? What is he thinking when her mom mentions "essays" and "scholars" in relation to her job? This is a total logic fail. He is an academic, he has to be curious of the job lie she has told her family.
I know right. It's so annoying and a total waste of screen time. I just skip anything that has to do with them,…
When the second FL is acting as bff and love advisor, it's funny in a meta way as all her advice is coming from cdramas. But agree, whenever she's with the SML, she's so dumb it's annoying.
I really can't handle the 2nd couple with the fake wheelchair storyline. It was dumb and despicable to start with, but now it's just dragging on way too long. I haven't been this turned off by a "courtship" since Well-Intended Love and the ML's insane cancer deception.
Like everyone else, I'm just watching this for ML's smolder. The opening and closing credits make it feel like it's a real drama, but it's hilariously short.
I am rewatching this now on Viki and YouTube and comparing subtitles against what I originally watched on Tencent. Tencent actually did a pretty lazy job at in comparison.
BUT that still means that he did deliberately stand her up, even if that comment was not an insult of her.
And also, it took him until episode 14 to ask?!
