The more I watch, the more the emperor character development doesn't make sense. He can't just go from a sniveling lantern maker to a psychopath so quickly like that.
This drama has a real sympathy problem. I feel no sympathy for GN as he agonizes over CX because he is the one who rejected her and won't admit his feelings. And now I don't feel any sympathy for CX as she drowns her sorrows over being grounded. What did you think would happen when you went against the boss who already didn't like you?!
I will judge this drama hard if it doesn't end by Jiang being legally charged and getting sacked from his job.…
Totally. None of the other crimes (hacking of employee files and hacking of CCTV) have been resolved in the show, so this one definitely needs to be. Tampering with anything to do with air travel is a federal crime. It is so serious!
Jiang is despicable. He's making all the same punchable faces he did as MingLan's dad.
And CX's relationship with her mom is beyond saving. Even if the mom has PTSD, it doesn't mean she should want to make her daughter miserable. What kind of mother would actively seek to get her daughter punished? And it's the dad's fault for being scared of mom. He should be the one threatening divorce for what a horrible mom she is. And both parents' fault for not telling CX about her mom's airplane trauma. CX is a grown adult. She can handle the truth.
Writers did a bad job with GNT. They're making him unsympathetic with his cowardly behavior, and a ML should never reach such an unlikeable state. It would have been better if we clearly saw that he's keeping a distance for the sake of her promotion, to keep rumors or charges of "sleeping her way to the top" at bay, but they've dispelled that with CX's badass speech...so GNT is just a pussy.
My food nitpicks for ep 21 - Why are you shaking Moet & Chandon champagne? Does she think they just won the NBA Finals? That stuff is $60 a bottle, don't waste it! And what weird teensy pouring. You don't drink champagne as shots. - That pour over coffee is a horrible color, what kind of weakass brewing is that? It did not look appetizing at all.
Ni Zhan definitely likes CX as in he wants her to be his girlfriend. From the very first episode when they meet,…
Agreed. It's been clear from episode 1 he was intrigued by her that could lead to romantic interest. CX using him to make GNT jealous has worked and also backfired because it's made NZ think he might have a chance.
But I feel bad for the NZ actor, he never gets the girl in all the dramas I've seen with him.
